ARAM: Rather - WTF Mode

A friend got me to -finally- actually start playing ARAM about a month ago, so like anything I dove in head first and have played ceaselessly since. I've noticed a few things:

1: All Random All Mid

This is what ARAM used to mean. While I rather get the concept here, the mode isn't Random. It's Competitive Play Choices. Back in the Long Long Ago, during the Before Times, we used to hit up Summoner's Rift (only map) and click Random! You had no idea who your champ would be till the loading screen, and it was chosen from any champion you owned. AKA: RANDOM. This mode has the exact same champions every match, interchanging 3-4 who randomly pop in. While not the precise same setup, you see my point. Perhaps 20 champions total.

That isn't Random, That is "See how well you play what the pros are currently playing."

2: Mechanics Bugs

This mode has been out for a good while now, and I had poked around in it when it was first released, but had gone back home to Normal Summoner's Rift due to gameplay issues with the mode. They're still there? Why? Olaf and Kayle's ults do not work properly, Rammus and Shen taunts don't last nearly as long as they should, yet all Stuns and Silences last LONGER than they should. (Not guessing here, used a buff/debuff timer.) Your APC's deal more damage than they ever could hope to do in a Normal or Ranked match, comparably geared and runed.

You guys have had a few years now to fix these issues, why would you just let it sit?

3: Queue Dodge/Leavers... Rules in General

Personally I believe the Queue Dodge Penalty, and the Leaver Penalty, should be double, if not triple, for ARAM (and Urf). For some reason it seems that players feel that, because it's "Just ARAM!!!" that rules no longer apply to the game in general. Attitude, griefing, leaving, etc.

While it's fully understandable, and actually a ton of fun, to play with various builds and styles that would normally get you screamed at in Ranked or Normal matches - The rules of the game still apply. It has become a general practice that both queue dodging, and simply up and going AFK or Leaving ARAM/Urf games is perfectly acceptable. This should -not- be the case. You are playing a Random Match. You didn't get a champion you like? Play Normals/Ranked where you can choose who you play. As it stands you get rerolls for those simply horrendous champion selections.

That is all.

Also - Urf Mode does not mean Grief/Abuse mode. Just because it's a parody mode doesn't mean you spam, cuss people out, etc.

1: All Random All Mid

L4t3ncy's confirmed that champ select is true random, albeit with a few restrictions (e.g. no mirror matches or duplicated champs).

2: Mechanics Bugs

Sounds like bugs? Through the years, I don't think I've ever heard anyone mention those. Try submitting bug reports, I guess.

3: Queue Dodge/Leavers... Rules in General

I agree it's a problem, but ARAM dodge penalties already start higher than every other mode. Not sure about Leaver penalties though.

I have well over 100 champions at this stage. I am lacking six, and those six I don't, and have never, wanted. I am one of the same 26 champions (finally sat and counted), in every single game. Those I am up against are one of 26 champions. This is not truly random.
