Zed's in a VERY bad state right now. And I feel like his burst is fine if it took more skill to pull off, like making his abilities more expensive energy-wise, but with more reward system to get him some energy back. But honestly, I think he's healthy for the game if he would be just a bit harder. Besides, when he uses his W, he lost all forms of mobility. Just pick something like

that can monopolize on him not having his W (As most don't take it until LVL3), or just 
and completely negate his burst by going untargetable. Or 
and ult him when he ults, but then I'd hate you, and so would like, half of the boards' community.

No, I love Zed. Pick someone who you can beat / bully him with. Example . Also, punish him when he uses shadow and misses his Qs. Long CD and drains his energy, plus no more mobility. Plus he's really not that great right now for this season. I won't tell you my pick that dumpsters him since I don't want people doing it to me. :)
Morg actually counters Zed pretty well in lane, so nobody should go apeshit on you...but, in that same vein, Zed has a hella easy time against immobile ADCs. Especially immobile ADCs that don't get peels. Roaming assassins tend to also just have a easier time against crappy bot lanes in general. Judging by the rank of your account, I can safely say that if I was your enemy mid, I could have done much worse things to you with 
. The problem that you have with Zed is not unique to him; it's a common symptom faced by teams with challenged bot laners. And you're completely right when you say that doesn't matter, but not because Zed is particularly strong or anything. At lower ranks, most AD assassins can shitstomp to the point where I can just blow up every other threat on your team when you Zhonya. So, my suggestion would be to play with a trustworthy duo partner, or picking champions that are more about slaughtering the enemy team back.

No AD assassin is actually busted its simply Duskblade that is out of control and very unhealthy. The proof is in the fact that duskblade is used by more champions than almost any other item. Its legitimately impossible to play a game without seeing at least 2 or 3 people abusing this item. It also makes this high damage meta even worse.
