An example of Riot balancing for LCS before normal players

Current Galio nerfs on PBE:

- HP per level reverted from 102 to 112
- Hero's Entrance (R) cooldown increased from 180/150/120 to 200/180/160

I don't even see Galio in my elo anymore. And based on OP.GG, this champion isn't even in the top 50 top lane picks. Even as a mid laner, he sits at the very bottom with a 4.28% pickrate and 46.85% winrate.

I personally don't play Galio, but doesn't 180--> 200s CD on ult seem a bit harsh? Whenever I get matched into Galio mid, it is almost always a free win.

I'm really disappointed in Riot right now. They didn't even consider to compensate SoloQ players with this change [zombie-brand-facepalm]

You do know that "reverted from" means they stopped the nerf right?

So all the did was nerf his ult.

If they nerf his mandatory pressure to bot in pro play they can buff his basic abilities to make him more viable in normal play since he won't be picked in pro for his normal kit, he's only picked for his R. His R is what makes him mandatory in LCS, so nerfing R let's Riot buff the rest of him without keeping him a 100% pick or ban in LCS.

As a "normal" player, I would much rather they nerf stuff that makes LCS less interesting to watch. Worse comes to worse, the champion's play rate drops and the nerfs end up having little to no effects on the games I play anyway.

Main problem I have is if riot buffs a champion for LCS because that can actually have a significant effect on solo queue although thankfully riot has cut down on that. I'm fine with nerfs.

they did say that they were giving up on balancing problematic champs for both because of how much time it takes up you really shouldn't have expected any compensation
