Is it like support nerfing season or what? What is the context for this? LuLu hasn't been that strong. 4.97% play rate, 46.5% win rate. I would think she would need buffs not nerfs....but then again, it's #Riotlogic. Typical to buff those that don't need it and nerf those that actually need buffs. -.-

HadesBlades1 votesBecause the ult nerfs insta makes a squishy into a tank champ, while she can also give them kiting ability and damage through her passive. For a ult that can give over 300+ health at the first lvl stuffs out so much play from mages, assassins and prolonged fights. Lulu is too good with her utility and her damage. I'd rather see utility nerfs then her damage, she is a jack of all trades and very good one at that.
Not to say I hate lulu ( I love her top lane) but I from a balance point of view Lulu has always been strong, her kit has a ton of out play and damage potential along with a lot of safety. Her utility early makes her snuff out a lot of engages and trades early, not to mention her early game allows her to shut out an opponent for 1.5secs, its not that it's overbearing but support lulu also shuts off many players wanting to make engaging decisions. The LCS proves it really well.

Lulu support has already been struggling for a while now and these nerfs will hurt her bot lane presence.
Solo lane Lulu just can't be balanced as it's similar to how top Alistar or mid Janna used to be in the past - they have too much utility and scale well with levels.
As a Lulu support main - I hope she gets nerfs to her wave clear and damage output as opposed to her utility. Solo lane Lulu needs nerfs but not support Lulu.

If they have something like a zed, diana, akali, or fizz, lulu just takes them completely out of the game, also, that combined with the fact that she is a giant buff to whatever adc is on her team (and adc's are pretty strong right now) lulu is actually pretty busted. But yeah she's not great support, shes been a mid laner for a while.

Her ult in the mid lane is so good because it's almost engineered to bite assassins the in ass for trying to dive her, or even engage her. Her w is another tool that she uses to keep assassins from destroying her. When she sees Kat or talon running towards her, when she sees that fizz e, when she sees that zed ult, she gets that Polymorph ready, because as soon as they get in range and try their bullshit, she interrupts them. If lulu is strong in the mid lane at all, this would be one of the main reasons why. Yes, she has poke. Yes, she has damage. But these two spells that got nerfed are what makes her good in the mid lane right now; against Lux, Leblanc, Brand, Malzahar, and the like, she's decent, but very average by comparison.
How is she not a support anymore, as well? Have you seen the utility in her kit!? Half of her spells have a different effect for allies and enemies, while her ult is an anti-assassin tool to protect squishies, as well as a tool to give anyone a good engage. Further, you still mentioned that "Help, Pix!" is an excellent buff spell on your Marksman. What role has better access to a marksman for a longer part of the game than support? Also, would you also like to comment on how well she works with the Frost Queen's clam series of support items? One auto procs this thing a disgusting amount of times.
You can't just call a champion a mid laner, despite how they were designed as a support. There are some that are hard to separate out, but Lulu is not one of them. Hell, her w doesn't even do damage! It doesn't increase damage, it doesn't stun, it doesn't deal damage, it's just a disarm, silence, and a somewhat mild slow. Also, have you seen her ability power scaling? There isn't a single scaling in her kit that's over 50%, unless you consider the shield size on her e. Most mid laners have some source of damage that scales a lot better than that. I know not every mid has damage on every spell, but her kit is definitely not as aggressive as a designated mage champion's kit.

I mean, i can sum it up for you really easily, there are other supports that can do what lulu does but better, such as janna. however there aren't mid laners that can buff their teammates and still get away with an abusive early game laning phase like lulu can. Orianna used to be a contender but nobody can do what lulu's ult does.
