Question for Meddler... or anyone with an answer
Is there anything planned for Syndra? I've watched multiple replays to confirm that I'm not just seeing things and yes indeed her QE combo can be a perfect dead center hit, not close, but perfectly center, and result in any of the following:
1 - Passes straight through the middle and does nothing. - Common, happens almost every game.
2 - Knocks back tiny distance on hit but does no damage and does not stun. I'm not talking about the E hitting + the orb missing, it's well out of E range so it's just the orb hitting - Very common, happens every game multiple times. In my last ranked match this cost me kills and got me killed, completely destroyed my already abysmal laning phase.
3 - Does the damage but does not knock back or stun, just passes through. - Common, happens almost every game. Happened in that same game mentioned above costing me another kill.
4 - Flys straight backwards at yourself, not doing anything to the enemy. - Uncommon, happens to me maybe 1 in 4 games. Naturally it cost me a kill and got me killed in a ranked match.
Then there's the issue of a glitch she's had since the Quinn patch, yes the Quinn patch. Her ult results in the screen jerking rapidly making it hard to know what's going on and lasts several seconds, but varies, sometimes up to 6-7 seconds. This happens to me on any set of hardware so it's not specific to a driver issue of one vendor. I'm guessing it may be an issue with another program I have installed? Edit: I forgot to mention how common it is, it's very common, at least 2/5 times I use her ult.
And what of her straight up power? Can we just admit the nerfs were overkill considering they're combined with the base stat nerfs to mana, deletion of DFG, her endless bugs, tanks being buffed, and now base mana regen being effectively dropped from 9 to 6 due to the mastery being taken out of range. Luden's being nerfed next patch is just another nail in her coffin.
50 damage on her Q is a joke; between runes, masteries and the base MR you can't use this anymore unless you want to run out of mana for no damage. I have no problem with her early laning being nerfed if it was enough to keep her down but give her a chance to fight back. As it stands she can't without going OOM for far less damage than she takes. And she gets nothing later in return unlike a hyper carry, in a tank meta no less. I've always found it necessary to have that early game pressure to be allowed to transition to a mid game as Syndra, now she simply doesn't have that anymore. Now she's the one who gets bullied in lane.
There's no sound reason to pick Syndra over Ziggs or another mage as she is, or better yet a manaless assassin who's unfazed by the latest mana nerfs.
