Except maybe the reason the boards are always filled with complaints is because people expect perfection from Riot. You don't see people complimenting Riot on the good things they do very often because there is no reason for them to come on here.
(Most) People come on here to talk about the bad things in the game, and just because people come on here and post something definitely does not make them dedicated to the game, posts that just have 5 words complaining about champions really does not help Riot at all, now maybe threads that have valid arguments, statements, facts, and that aren't bashing on Riot ARE helpful.
When your company that is responsible for literally one product quadruples their revenue in a the span of a few years, players....CUSTOMERS... rightfully should expect improvements.
I just have this sneaking suspicion that they don't go out of their way to hire the best minds in game theory and statistical analysis--which is why they struggle so much to balance the game. The fact that the frequently make dumb fuck decisions that everyone immediately sees will be a problem, and then they have to scale it back a few patches later, tells me that the people making judgement calls on balancing are not people holding degrees in the areas related to game theory or statistical analysis.. I feel like its probably more like, who knows who and who likes who, who have these positions.
