Rek Sai has a identity crises

RekSai is a champion who was released, easily one of the most broken champs in the game for her time, to then be nerfd buffd, reworked, nerfd, buffed and nerfd, and honestly I feel the core reason she is like this. Is for Riot has given her a identity crises.

By far her strongest ability combo was for her to dig into the ground, charge at the enemy team and knock a bunch of people up as she does her aoeQ and bite. Her ultimate was global and was dedicated to making her a wide range map threat. I also feel a lot of people enjoyed this ultimate, even when it felt useless.

However then her rework happened, where her knock up became single target only, and her ult became a "sticky" mechanic, where if a target runs away from her, she jumps on them. So clearly this is a goal to make her a single target focused diver. Here is where the identity crises comes in though.

1-You consistently nerf her tank version while buffing her AD version 2-She is is being changed to be single target focused but still has a AOE Q.

I believe Reksai rework was actually pretty good, but I believe it failed in the sense, where you went to soft with it. I believe if we want RekSai to be cooler, we should look at her Q and ask ourselves how can we make this a more "Duelist/diver" type ability.

For with her current toolkit and play style, players will still heavily prefer to play her as a tank, for the focus of surviving when engaging. The core trait that Shyvana and Hecarim, two of the most famous divers in this game share, is they have a ultimate that is dedicated to going ham, and they have a Q that is dedicated to fucking up their target. Hecas somewhat resembles Reksais but what makes it so good at dueling, is it's stacking passive and how it can be worked with Tri Force.

How to fix Reksai?

A: Give up on the AD version and bring back the tank version and give her a AOE knock up with her old ultimate B: Rework her Q and solify her identity as a diver

Her Q supports the diving mechanic, because as a TANKY diver, her goal is to do large burst damage to the entire enemy team, with the primary target who she is right-clicking on taking the MOST damage. Yes, she is a diver, but she is a disruptive diver: a lion charging into a crowd of people swinging its claws wildly at a single target while slashing anything stupid enough to be in her path, because felines can be quite erratic in combat, just as they can be super precise and highly focused.

Her ultimate is centered on ensuring that her primary target doesn't get away, ensuring a swift and brutal death. Everything else in her kit is there to cause panic due to her natural capacity for quickly coming in and disrupting a group of targets, who are seemingly safely huddled together.

Rek'Sai is a bruiser diver, her primary engage style is similar to Wukongs: come in relatively undetected from a solid flanking angle, disrupt the enemy team, cause them to panic as she starts ripping apart your carry, and then finish the carry off while the rest of your team cleans up the mess.
