Yasuo's overpowered Wind Wall vs. Morgana's Balanced Black Shield;
Black Shield is a skill that historically had the greatest set of nerfs in all of the game both quantitatively and qualitatively.... NOTE that it is similar to Wind Wall in the sense that it can completely stop long CD ultimates in their tracks with a non-ult skill that has significantly lower recharge time... so what is the difference between Wind Wall and Black Shield? what makes one overpowered and the other one balanced? Remember in the old days; Black Shield would block ALL negative effects on the player, including Exhaust, Ignite and even true damage. That got nerfed obviously.
Then it would block all negative effects like TF's ult vision and Anivia's "Chilled" (No double damage). That got nerfed.
Then the cooldown was increased to almost double and the duration cut from 8 seconds to a scaling 4.... 8 ... that got nerfed down to 5 seconds.
Then the actual shield defense was cut down in AP scaling.
But even the original, true black shield is still not as overpowered as Windwall.... why? because black shield only affected ONE player... and it cost mana to use, AND it could be disabled by direct bursting/focus fire. Windwall disables an entire swath of champions from attacking with zero method of defeat, it cannot be destroyed the way black shield is, and you cannot swap targets to bypass it. It has zero counter play once laid down during a fight... and no, you can't walk around it, if Yasuo and his team stand on the wall, the projectiles will be destroyed rather than have them hit.
Yasuo needs nerfs Riot. This is a statement from a Diamond player.
