Remake, Great Idea, Bad Execution

So, to qualify for a remake, a player has to be AFK for at least 90 seconds at the 3 minute mark. Remake cannot happen if 1st blood is given to either team.

So, let's say you're 25 in, your team has a commanding lead of 10 kills and then, all of a sudden, someone disconnects from the game or decides that they're bored (And I have had both of these happen) and then the game becomes a 4v5 in which the previously leading team ends up losing?

Well, guess that team is SoL. No remake for you!

There are a number of other ways that a team could be denied their remake. Such as a jg invade. Or, an ally on the team with the afk gets greedy and kills a low health enemy early on. Etc, etc, etc.

Point is, remake is entirely and overly convoluted that enables current abusers of a flawed system that allows trolls and people who don't have the adequate software, internet, or time to play to continue subjecting fair players to punishments they do not deserve.

Remake is a step in the right direction, but it hardly grants any favors to those who deserve it.

FB rule is a bad idea.

It's not to remake the entire game. Its to remake games where someone doesn't connect at the start so the 4 people team don't have to wait 20 minutes to surrender.

If someone DCs or simply doesn't connect at all before 3 min hits, you and your team ought to be sane enough to know not to put yourselves in danger of getting First Blood and locking into a 4v5. If you see someone DC or not show up at all, don't leave the base. You know you're going to push for a remake, so it doesn't matter what progress your opponent makes before 3 min because it will be overhauled.

That would of had the potential to be abused. Riot is trying to make consesions to prevent bad starts in the early game due to computer issues.

If you allowed remakes in the middle of the game, there's no guaranty on the condition in which someone disconnected. The Behavioral team probably thought. "your going to end up with a 4 man squad, bash the other guy with toxicity, until that guy AFK's just to escape the bad environment, and allowing the toxic people to remake the match because it was going bad.

And that's the other problem. That Early in the game, before their are any Kills. It would have been anyones game, affected by an AFK. but if your team is already doing badly you can't allow people to just get a second chance because someone didn't agree with the surrender vote.

Yeah, I won so many games where someone had a crash or something and reconnected at ~min 2, its probably not worth the time remaking unless your lane match ups are bad, which is pretty cheesy. Meanwhile someone dying once or twice at min 2-5 and then leaving is still a 97% loss.
