Here is an idea for buffing the common ADC

ADCs are meant to deal consistent physical damage over time using autos and a few abilities from range, and take towers and other objectives quickly. To me, damage seems fine once items are gotten, so not much to fix their except maybe pricing or a few scalings.

But the bigger part is their tower killing ability.

ADCs are tower takers. They are designed to take structures faster than most of the other champions in the game. But currently, other champions are doing their job to almost an equal amount. And since ADCs are one of the squishiest, defenseless champion groups in this game, players are getting encouraged to go safer, more "defensive" champions, many of which are not ADCs.

So to fix this, why not make towers have a specific trait.

#Ranged auto attacks from marksmen class champions deal normal damage while all other forms (melees, AP scaling autos, abilities, spawns like voidlings, items, etc...) deal a reduced amount.

This way, the ADCs keep their role and "need", and while not totally becoming a necessity in every game, they are a far better option than just the "play whatever because it likely will be better than any ADC besides Caitlyn, EZ, Vayne, Twitch, and Jhin" bot lane mindset we seem to be currently be moving towards.

"Lets make ADC's needlessly better at a thing they are already best at by literally nerfing every melee champion in the game."

Because Ranged doesn't have enough advanatages over melee as is, amirite?

This has nothing to do with ranged vs melee in fighting. This is just ensuring a purpose for ranged champions (marksmen ADCs) in the bot lane.

It's affecting it whether it is your intent or not. Game isn't magically gonna ignore it just becaus eit isn't what you are tryint to do.

They already have one

in the bot lane.

Why do Marksman have to rule botlane with an iron fist? Why are we pretending they still aren't the main class down there?

Why do Marksman have to rule botlane with an iron fist?

because the bot lane tower is weakest so the 2 man lane is "forced" there to try and defend it the longest.

Why are we pretending they still aren't the main class down there?

They are still, but its gradually slipping away from them due to their low defensive stats and need for items to deal their intended damage (delayed power spikes) where other champions can get a lot more kill threat on them at lvl 1 and 2.

You DO know that the lack of fortifications was added only recently, right?

Considering ADC's have MORE defensive tools than ever and have always had the scaling up shtick as you described, i fail to see how it is "slipping away".

I am aware, it kinda is part of the point. Lane swaps caused it for the most part, and I am glad that that stuff ended with it, but IMO their should have been a better way to do that rather than by weakening one lanes tower or buffing all other towers.

ADCs are not getting worse or better per say. Just that everything else is getting stronger. The invisible rework, the assassin changes, and some of the new/reworked champions (Camille, Talon, Rengar, etc...) all have super dive/escape capabilities allowing them near unhindered access to the back lines and often a quick and sometimes unfollowable escape path (like Talon jumping over walls or Camille using her E to move very far away).

Also, with a rise in threats to ADCs, little compensation for it as well as many item changes, most of which were nerfs, ADCs are weaker. (item 3139 was nerfed, item 3147 lost its first passive for a passive only 2 ADCs Twitch and Vayne, can use often enough to make it worth getting, item 3814 was added, but its passive only applies to the first ability and has a low MR stat, item 3156 got a decent nerf also, and while needed, it still hurt a bit, item 3105 no longer gives them the little bit of MR from the aura). ESPECIALLY for against AD based assassins, we are seeing a very weak position for ADCs. Even pros agree that this is the weakest ADCs have been for a very long time. With many AD based assassins being popular, and with no universal armor items for all ADCs to use effectively without hurting their damage output in existence, I can see why AP champions are becoming popular in the ADC role. item 3157 is great for them. Provides defensive and offensive stats as well as a safety passive for countering bursts of damage.

My reasoning for the change was more aimed at giving ADCs (marksmen) a surefire reason to be on a team. And while not making it 100% necessary for them to be on one, they would fit the spot much better than alternative options. I do't want to just buff the champions individually, because we will just continue to see 2-3 of them be overly superior to all others and then 1-2 ok ones. The rest will be near unplayable. This is likely unfixable which is why I didn't want to try and fix it. So I looked to ensure marksmen a reason to be in the game over other champions. Other champions can take towers and other objectives, but marksmen should be picked to take them the quickest IMO. That is what they are designed to do anyways.

Instead of buffing adcs just remove autofill so not every 9/10 supports are players that never play support [slayer-jinx-wink]

lmao someone thinks ADCs need buffs

Not the champions per say, just the role overall.
