Its really hard to get an s in a game without placing many wards. and you need 3 s ratings to get mastery seven. but how is placing a ward different for one champ to the next champ? seems to me like you DONTT have to place wards to master your champion. just have to play the champion.
wards are more about game mastery. why are they included in my champion mastery scores?

I frequently see people that aren't comfortable with their champion making bad builds, and forgetting to ward because they are so focused on just managing their abilities. The entire game around you is affected by your mastery of the champion and vice versa.
oSEXYPLATYPUSo3 voteswards placed is kinda like over all concept of game play. you need vision, providing vision shows that you understand the importance of it. so if you are a support who places 10 wards compared to a support who places 32 by the difference in vision you are putting your team at a disadvantage. so it grades your over all concept of the game with that champ compared to others who play that champ

Wards appear to contribute to contribution (<_<) based on how effective their positions are, riot confirmed you cannot simply "spam" wards.

Mastery is a lot more then spamming your skills well at appropriate times. It's more than your KDA.
There are Katarinas doing a far better job over all playing their role. You are just as accountable for providing vision as the rest of the team. You have no excuse with yellow trinket being free, on a free slot, and continually available all game.
Simply put, you want mastery 7, do as well as others do as that champion in that role.
