Just because you don't like the current meta doesn't mean the old "bad" ones were superior...

No meta is really fun as a whole. But I'd take tanks over a grey screen assassin meta.
So we would rather have right click and die in 1.5 seconds than fight using all abilities multiple times trying to side step them and weaving in auto attacks between casts. I personally find tank vs tank fights to be tense and exciting as opposed to "you dead" instantly.
Tanks Metas are the best because they're the only ones where everything is truly viable.
Because Tanks are strong, you need ADCs and Battle Mages to melt them down with DPS.
Because you need ADCs and Battle Mages, you need Assassins and Burst Mages to kill those squishies before they kill your tanks.
Because you need Assassins and Burst Mages, you need Enchanters to protect your team from the ones the enemy has.
Because you need Enchanters, you need Fighters who can thrive in combat for a long time to counteract the continuous support.
Because you need Fighters, you need Tanks to peel them off, or Disruptors to zone them away.
Optimally, in a meta where Tanks are relevant in a multitude of roles(Top, Jungle, and Support. Mid if you play Galio), you can play almost anything and succeed.
I love this line of attack.

Id prefer a fighter meta some time, because fighters in my opinion have the most mechanics and are fun too play (as a whole, i see you zed mains) but tank meta is dull because their skill set is repetitive and provides little counterplay
I much prefer the meta right now where people appear on screen. get a CC cuz your flash is down, and you're dead in 1.5 seconds then a 45 second grey screen. grey screens are much more entertaining
I definitely agree, tank meta is boring with nearly no counterplay due to the shear damage meta tanks are able to do in the early - midgame while taking far less dmg than anything else. Doesn't help that tanks also scale quite well into the lategame.

its an adc meta always has been always will be
unless the game fundamentally changes
Anyone who is talking about metas and isn't in direct relation to pro play is an idiot and doesn't know what they are talking about.
