Please explain this to me Riot....

My team has fed all game ( I am 3-3-3 Jungler ) and we are 12-39. Bottom lost turret at the 7 min mark, before they even hit level 6. The game is over, even the enemy team realizes this and GG's us.

We have got NO turrerts, NO dragons, the enemy has pushed us into our base, yet my team won't surrender. They somehow think we actually have a chance. Now, if you lost your tower at 7 mins, when the game was on an equal playing ground, why on earth do you think you'll be able to bring it back when the enemy ADC now has 6,000 more gold than you? Now to me, it's simple logic.

However, I have to sit here, in base..... and wait to get out of this game. I'm not going to play anymore, because that is just going to extend the game even further. I am not yelling at my team, simply stating the game is over, surrender and let us players go on to a different game where we have a chance to win.

Instead I get reported for sitting in base. Really Riot? Implement something to change this. You should have maybe a kill objective. If the team has 25 more kills than the other team, the game ends. Honestly, what game has come back from a 25 and no tower kill deficit? I have never seen that happen in LCS, and I don't think anyone has either. Since you balance this game around Plat and above, I think it's a fair idea. I've never seen players in that rank category throw a game with that much of a landslide. 10 kills and no towers? Maybe. 15 and no towers? You're stretching it. 25 kills and no towers.... it's GG dude.

Based on that attitude I'm assuming you are at low elo Bronze or Silver. And such comebacks aren't really uncommon. Teams with better team composition can win a few teamfights to close the gap. Inexperience also causes the enemy team to throw unconsciously or by mistake. Maybe it never happens on LCS bu you are not LCS material either.

You never know, I'm not saying your odds of wining are high but they aren't 0 either. For someone on their series or on their last game of the day it makes a difference weather you keep trying or just surrender.

PS. Landslides often happens in LCS yet only one time has ever surrender (SK) even if you know you will likely lose it looks bad.

I have won games where my team is over 40 kills behind. CRAZY SHIT HAPPENS MAN. A game only becomes a waste of time when you decide you don't want to try anymore. Also if we put in something like what you suggest the game becomes all about racking up kills as fast as possible and pretty much all strategy in the game around objectives goes to complete waste.

Don't worry man. People will always self-rationalize your complaint and call you low elo. In reality, players that are the most toxic are at higher elos. Because they have played ranked for years and when they go into a norm or a reset, they see the skill difference and they expect more from their teammates.

EXAMPLE: ON all other servers they surrender lost games much earlier. In NA, people are so sensitive to criticisms that they will troll you in the surrender vote to waste more of your time at the expense of theirs. Truly a beautiful culture.

I've seen games thrown by the enemy team at my Nexus while they had all inner turrets up, no joke. A good team comp can wreck early game team comps as long as you land a good AOE ult.

Crazy things happen when you have TP Yi and they don't take 3rd inhib to try and end. Never base race with Yi after 3 ppl died, it just doesn't work.

I've lost games to 0-6 Vaynes that slowly become 15-15 because our team comp of Darius, Ziggs, Pantheon, Corki and Janna, despite being extremely dominant early game, can't handle Vayne once she cs's enough for items.

idk man, ive seen some crazy ass comebacks. i feel that league of legends can teach you lessons sometimes, and with that being said it can teach you to keep on trying.

LCS is too coordinated for comebacks like that to happen, but you can catch the other team off guard if you show good teamwork all of the sudden. As for your complaint, I understand the pain, but it's possible that will motivate people to troll by severely feeding so that the game ends within 10-15 minutes. Also, not everyone wants to give up, even when your chances of making a comeback are bleak. Some people prefer to play their games out (there's also more IP for you if you don't surrender), and you should respect that.

I understand all the comments, and I totally agree. I've come back from deficits aswell, but I at least know that we have

  • A good team composition i.e - good ult chains + end game characters.
  • We are still communicating and attempting plays instead of just running around aimlessly.
  • No one is yelling at eachother or calling names.

In games like the one I mentioned, bottom was completely destroyed. You feed a Vayne 5 kills and lose bottom turret within 7 mins? My god. Our mid player who was Malphite was holding his own until bottom poured into his lane and destroyed his turret, to which he says "WTF are you guys doing bottom?" Both turrets gone and I just hit level 7 lol.

I know some games CAN be brought back, but we always have the morons on a team that won't surrender because they simply want to piss the other team-mates off, or simply troll. I wish their was a way around it without getting reported by other players, or reported by Riot themselves by simply dropping and loading a new game. If the loss is that bad you should be able to quit, no questions asked, and have Riot verify " Ok.... we understand you probably weren't going to win that, better luck next game, we are not holding anything against you for leaving".
