You left out kai'sa who also does mixed damage.

They do not typically do a mages job better than conventional mages, and if they ever do would depend on what you think a mages job is in the first place.

Kai'sa WAS FINE AT RELEASE. She didn't need 50 000 buffs and be like Ornn all over again

Corki mid = awesome wave-clear while having sustained damage, burst damage AND mixed damage (when he is "meta" aka played by sheeps because some korean said he's op) + ranged

Varus AoE cc who can engage teamfights (while dealing both magic and physical damage "sustained") + ranged

KogMaw teamfighters, zoning, poke (ranged)
