Karthus ult should have CD reduced based on how many champs he kills with it

Seems like every time you guys introduce new champs and items there's just more and more ways to avoid Karth ult, and adaptive helm now even just hurting his damage output on tanks.

Setting up a Karthus for a pentakill following up a previous pentakill seems unfun as fuck.

Karthus ult is like a Soraka ult, but dmg. It's purpose is mostly to get assist cross map and use it to bully your opponenet by having slightly stronger Q's than you should. Kills? Heals? Nah, assists. Less wasted gold on all dem toplane solo kills.

I just want to know why champions like Vieg, Syndra, Lux, etc don't have CDs the same as Karths.

Karthus's ultimate hits 5 people, guaranteed unless they are either dead or dodge it somehow.

While I do agree that he needs minor buffs, his ultimate is fine and other champions with single target or skillshot ultimates don't have to be gutted because Karthus has a 5-man nuke on an extremely long cd.

It's pretty easy anymore to completely negate Karth's utl. Many champs have abilities to avoid it and there are items like item 3102 item 3157

So that argument is completely moot.

It's equally easy to dodge everyone you mentioned's ult. Syndra: Zhonya's; Lux: dodge it; Veigar: Zhonya's. Veigar's is also an execute, meaning that it killing you is really unlikely if you dodged his skillshots, even if he's fed his ult can't completely 1-hit KO someone anymore.

Karthus's ult being on such a long cooldown is more than justified. While it is true that it's easy to block, it's also true that it hits all 5 enemies, and I guarantee you that their non-AP champions won't be able to block it with how Banshee's was reworked. They're just not gonna buy an AP defensive item for Karthus ult. Plus, if you can't pop a Banshee's shield with Karthus, you're bad.

Good luck dodging a Lux ult since she always snares or slows you before ulting you. Veigar can easily one shot people due to his infinite scaling, I do it all the time.

As for popping Banshee's, Karth is a mid range mage. He usually has to rely on his team popping them since he is usually out of range.

The point is that Karth has WAY more obstacles to overcome than any of the other champs mentioned. Syndra when ahead doesn't even need her ult, her normal combo will 100-0 people.

I play a lot of Karthus. If you're out of range of people with him, you're bad. I typically go for a slightly tanky build and stand in the front line. You're Karthus. You want to die so you can get your ult off without them interrupting it. As such, oh look, you also have an AoE ability that automatically pops every Banshee's Veil close to you.

Veigar needs to get fed to 1-shot people with his ultimate, and that relies on your opponents being bad and disrespecting the stun wall. Dodging Lux ult is beyond easy since her snare and slow are both skillshots. Literally all you have to do is flash/dash/blink away from them. Play Katarina, you'll see how easy it is to destroy a Lux (and my last Katarina game doesn't count, I was on like 2k ping the whole time, however in any other scenario Lux is just beyond easy to stomp with her).

Karthus is fine though if you play him right, seriously. item 3027 item 3116 item 3089 stand in the front lines, get pentakills.

Don't get me wrong, I think Karth is a fine champion. My point is that there are other champs with ults on par with his that have MUCH lower CDs.

As for dodging the Lux ult, if you use your flash, dash, etc to dodge the snare or slow, it isn't available to dodge the ult and that hitbox is pretty big.

Because Karthus' ultimate is better than Veigar's in every situation unless you need to kill one person quickly. Otherwise, it's always better.

Syndra and Lux's are whatever. Not sure how it's all balanced.

I would say that the majority of the time it's better to delete the biggest enemy threat than to do damage over the 5 people. Especially since Karth's ult is easily avoided with many abilities and items.
