There needs to be some form of punishment to people who ghost streamers, specifically in ranked

I'm watching OddOne stream, and here's what happens:

OddOne does some weird route and gets to red late with low-ish hp (he intentionally didn't use pots to save them for later), Rek'Sai just happens to be getting there the same time as him to cheese him at his red. Think about it, who just goes "Maybe I should level 3 fight this Olaf who might have done a weird route so he hasn't done red yet and also might not have used pots so he won't be full hp." Like, why the fuck would someone do that.

He goes to solo dragon (with pink ward so they had no vision, this was at level 4, and the enemy had no vision (no scuttle, no wards, nobody saw him going to it). Halfway through Rek'Sai and Thresh roll on up as if they knew he was doing it.

I've seen this shit so many times. Like, the enemy just happens to know Cowsep was doing a 15 minute baron solo while his team is pushing mid, and the enemy decides instead of stopping from losing their inner mid turret, to all go to baron. (old SR where baron spawned @ 15).

It's so dumb, just because somebody streams they automatically shouldn't be less likely to win because someone else is cheating. And you can't say, "Just put a huge delay" or "don't stream if you don't want to be ghosted." That's like telling JFK not be president if he didn't want to be assassinated. Maybe the piece of shit who's cheating should get punished rather than the person who is making a living off of Riot's game, while also spreading its popularity. You don't tell someone not to play a skillshot champion if the enemy is scripting, so streamers shouldn't be blamed for someone ghosting.

I for one feel like this is ruining the game. A lot of high elo (challenger, master, even diamond) players stream to help teach others the game, but instead they just teach users how to deal with someone who knows everything you're doing ~30 seconds later (which is a HUGE advantage if you consider how a streamer may say they are planning to do something a bit before they do it. I've seen Cowsep play entire Korean ranked games where he doesn't say anything related to the game because someone on the enemy team is ghosting.

People who ghost are assholes in general and don't deserve an easier win because they are cheating.

No, they're the ones broadcasting their screen to the entire planet.

Okay, one, Rek'Sai is a really good duelist. She has no reason NOT to try and invade looking to pick a fight with someone who might be low on health in a tough jungle. Two, if the enemy team didn't have vision of dragon, and they didn't know where the enemy jungler was, why would they not try to scout out dragon?

Yeah. Especially since China did this once during worlds.... >_>

How would riot enforce this? How could you even prove it? Also what if people just know their habits because they have watched them play so much.

Maybe you shouldn't show the entire planet what you are doing every single second if you don't want people to know what you are doing every single second.

Solution don't screen. You pay for your greed.

And you can't say, "Just put a huge delay"...

No, actually, that's exactly what you say, since it fixes the (self-inflicted) problem.

If you can prove someone was ghosting them, sure, they should get punished. But it's next to impossible for Riot to do that.

Also, for things like catching someone at their second buff -- very easy to guess where they might go, especially if the player is well-known and people know their tendencies. (And especially with Rek'Sai's ability to "see" nearby champion movement while burrowed.)

Olaf clears faster at low hp. I would have been at his red as well.

Maybe he was a good jungler? Weird route or not I often go into the enemy jungle to catch them at Grump or Raptors. Normally they are low hp as it is their weakest point in most routes. That he hasn't taken his red yet was just a plus.

Appearing mid drake at level 4 is not really that farfetched. Right now most of my champions can solo drake at lvl 5 (Tanks) while the bruiser and champions with most sustain can do it at 4, a few can even do it a 3 (poppy can do it at 3 with 5 pots). I don't jungle rek'sai so I'm unsure if she needs lvl 4 or 5 but checking dragon at that point is common since you probably will gank bot soon anyway.

While I agree that people who ghost and watch streams in order to screw with streamers is horribly wrong, there is a stream delay feature FOR THIS VERY PURPOSE . It honestly comes with the territory and as viewers you should be well aware that someone will always be looking to grief your favorite streamer. Encourage delayed streams for everyone's betterment and a fair game.
