Swain tooltip clarity?

So I was playing a bit of Swainy Todd and I noticed a couple things about his tooltips that weren't exactly clear.

  1. His E, Torment, applies a DoT and amplifies Swain's damage towards the target; but does Torment amplify it's own damage? This isn't really clear.
  2. Torment's tootltip lists the total amount of damage the ability will do over it's duration, but his Q, Decrepify, lists how much it does per second. On a DoT champion it's very confusing to have one ability list it's total damage and another list it's damage per tick. Can this be changed?

I think the Q tooltip is that way because the DoT is tether-based, and will not always do the full damage. This is similar to how Fiddle's Drain and Crowstorm list the damage as damage per second, not total damage. In contrast, Torment once activated will do its full damage unless the target is dead, uses QSS, or Zhonya's, which is why the tooltip damage is shown different.

Torment amplifies the skill's own damage; the base damage is 220 to compensate for that fact. I agree it's not clear, but it's also not that difficult to understand/figure out.

That actually makes a lot of sense. It's still a bit aggravating to not be able to glance over them and say "ok my E-Q should do roughly this much before MR."

Just multiply the tooltip damage by 3 for Decreptify. For your reference, rank 5 Decreptify's full damage is 255 base + 0.9*AP. Easy calculations.

1.Yes it does. 2.Since it's a tether it won't always do all of the stated damage.
