And this is what I meant when I said that the skill gap in Bronze 5 is way too large.

I haven't actually said that since Season 4. In the midst of the pre-season and then reset, climbing to Bronze 3, being sent back to Bronze 5, abandoning ranked, I seemed to have put it out of my head. Mm. I remember why I used to say it now. I can't remember why I thought it wasn't true.

I got rubbed the wrong way in champion select. TLDR, I went 2/32 and our team still won. I really tried my best. I kept up in assists. I even bought Zz'rot Portal and the Pink Ward trinket.

It just did not matter. The impact I made was just overshadowed by how enormous the skill deficit between my team and their team was, even when their team had a gold advantage. It was sad, and it was hilarious, and it has convinced me that Riot really does need to make a Wood Tier.

well i wouldn't be surprised if the skill difference between players in b5 was very wide, it seems it's kind of too easy to get into if people with 8-9 wins of 10 in promotions can go there (there was such a report on the forum)

Eh, the silvers and golds mostly cleared out by mid-February.

to be honest you underestimate your team comp vs their team comp and i cant believe how many people think team comp is unimportant. their team comp are a bunch of squishies with very low CC and low late game damage output

Other problems with the team you went against is the lack of synergy between champions if you have yasuo on your team you are basically FORCE to have some other force of knock up on your team also they have no siege potential especially against a xerth who can sit in the back lines and pump out damage for days and against a squishy team it doesn't matter how fed you get this is why tank teams are strong against assassins because the tanks don't need to build damage their base damages rip through squishies now.

even with all this said yes maybe there is a skill gap but there are so many other factors that come into play and team comp in this case was a big factor IMO

It doesn't matter how deep Bronze V goes. You only get matched against players in your MMR range.

800MMR Bronze V players don't play with sub-200MMR Bronze V players.
