sure, i couldn't stop him from farming very much, but do you know what i could do? relentlessly gank other lanes with my stealth, and split 1-2 turrets in a minute with aa resets from q+ravenous hydra.
not sure why rengar doesn't get played much at top to be honest. its very easy to build up 5 stacks and have an empowered ability, and his damage is pretty solid.

If you can roam and close out the game before he gets big, Nasus freefarming isn't going to matter.
ZileanUltJesusOP4 votespossibly but thats a really huge IF. Leaving nasus to free farm is never a good idea because if your ganks dont obliterate other lanes and get your team extremely far ahead, nasus can probably 1 v 5 your team, not to mention the rest of his team.

Rengar is really snowbally, he has tons of burst potential.

Old Man Teeto1 votesRengar top lane using his ultimate to gank mid/bot is scary since that Rengar typically has enough damage to get the kill himself instead of jungle Rengar.
He doesn't see much play due to his poor "true" tank abilities and mediocre dueling. This means he neither fills a heavy tank or heavy duelist role, and best fits as an Assassin, a role which has grown poorer with 2~3 people on a team tend to be durable enough to survive the early/mid game spike of assassin's.
