I hate ahri more than any other assassin

It feels like every other assassin has a much harsher way of being active. Their purpose is to get in someones face. There literally isnt another assassin who can kite like that. Charm not only slows them down but her q will give her movement speed. None of her skillshots are hard to miss and it isnt like she has high cooldowns either. She is just one of those assassins who are always strong for the reasoning that she can easily play passively or play super aggro if needed

Last time I checked, she was considered a "Mage" as her primary role and "Assassin" second. That is what the official attributes are printed in the champion database. Using your rank as an excuse doesn't give you a free pass on your ignorance.

Actually what they were doing is arguing over semantics. Assassin being second? So that means she has assassin quealities? WHOA. Who would have thought. Also the user put PROTIP, P-R-O-T-I-P. They were saying they were above me, yet being SV? Try again.

Shes a hybrid of Assassin and Mage. She's played like an assassin but her abilities are mage-like.

Dear people saying Ahri is not an assassin,

She is an assassin. She is a mobile character with high burst damage and an easy way into and out of a 100-0 kill combo Riot having her currently labeled as a Mage does not mean she is not an assassin. Riot also has Jarvan labelled as a tank and Teemo as a marksman.

Dear OP,

Yes, Ahri is annoying to play against, but you likely aren't going to see her get changed because, while she is one of the best soloQ midlaners, she isn't particularly well played in competitive.

She is not an assassin because her burst window has been largely extended and her damage amp entirely removed. Using her mobility almost always requires all 3 charges making it a commit to the kill or use it to escape, rarely can it be used for both. When Ahri catches a miss positioned ADC or APC they have more than enough time and options to fight back, not just react or get peeled.

You do realize that the point of the upcoming assassin update is to take champions with short burst windows and give enemies an opportunity to fight back? Just like they did with Ahri?

Ahri's burst window, while longer than it was when she had her damage amp, is still very short, and still exemplifies what differentiates an AP assassin from a mage - trading raw damage, damage to tanks, and AoE for mobility and pick potential.

She is an assassin. Her kit is that of an assassin. She builds and plays like an assassin. She brings all the same things to a team that a typical assassin does - mobility, pick potential, high single target burst, and the ability to escape.

It depends on how you play her I guess. I personally don't like to get that close to enemies so I play her like a mage, but her W doesn't give much of a choice.
