Im always hesitant to talk about ahri in the boards

Specifically because I usually get downvoted into hell if I say something positive about her. However, I really like playing her, but her passive feels so mediocre and bad. As she is an assassin, or rather mage that plays like an assassin (argue semantics all you want irdc). Her passive at level 18 gives her maybe 80 hp with 700 ap. And since she is a "soul stealing" fox, I would like to see something more into that theme, I was thinking like a mini mejais? Like bonus ap for how many souls she has "stolen". Just spitballing as it fits the theme.

Her passive gives her sustain in lane and that is it's purpose. Her kit is generalistic so her passive is supposed not to be that good late game, otherwise there would be no reason to pick anything over her if she also sustained af (most of the time there isn't already, only thing that keeps her at bay is that AP items are pretty shit), it would be like making Charm AoE.

And for the suggestion, no, she already snowballs pretty disgustingly, you cannot give her another snowballing mechanic.

In lane her passive is almost nothing. You get like 8-20 hp max. I was mainly thinking thematically. Like how cass' passive got updated? Her kit is good yes, but she is super mana hungry. Maybe make abilities sap mana every 20 seconds or something. Just something useful. Because if you've ever played ahri you know that passive is pretty garbage

It's for each enemy hit, you need to count with your passive and use it on purpose when it's charged. 20 HP just for farming is actually so good in the midlane, because there are very few champions with health sustain (for example Cass you are talking about, but then you have like 5 champions and that's it) and Lost Chapter completely solves the mana issue (which you get after first recall). And mainly, Ahri definitely does not need buffs at any scope, she just got nerfed and deserved it.

Why would you care about being downvoted anyway?

Threads that get downvoted early don't get seen, and why waste time on a post that no one sees.

That isn't any reason to not post though. Its better to have people at least see what you have to say and disagree with it rather than to not post anything at all.

ahri needs nerfs not buffs fam, if you saw her 20% play rate with a 54% win rate thats riduculous and they gave her a little baby nerf. So when a champ that people say requires high skill has a skyrocketing win rate thats the sign of imbalanced so she most definitely does not need buffs. That would be kind of cool to see though if she got nerfed somewhere else.

Ahri is better than the most other midlaners. I would rather see them buffed to her level than buffing her even more.

  1. As someone who played Cho'Gath frequently before his rework, you do not want a mini mejai's. Being balanced around losing stuff when you die sucks.

  2. Ahri is frequently complained about as someone with too much safety, and a high portion of that safety comes from her passive healing her. Without that passive Ahri will be destroyed pre-6. Because where ever they move the power to (unless it's into more safety) will kill her pre 6.

I don't really play Ahri, but I have played against plenty of Ahri's. Without the sustain of her passive she doesn't have the trading power to weaken people. If you move that sustain power into more direct power she will feel worse to play against .
