What were the context of TF Buffs?

Was it just because Riot wants to see him in pro play? He is already over 50% . His pick rate is ALREADY super high. What more do you want? You wanna give him a new passive called you slice out the enemy's retinas with a random card bc haha fk you?

Exactly, TF isn't played in pro play because he isn't as usefule against coordinated efforts. He is designed to snowball other lanes with his near-instant roams and targeted hard CC, but not necessarily win his own lane (which really only happens if his opponent is dry humping his tower and gets ganked over and over). We are also in a meta where hard engage team fight comps are the best so laning phase rarely matters when the enemy team can stall things out (much easier to do against good players if you have coordinated efforts--such as in pro play). Despite this, TF is still popular and does well is soloQ because of a general lack of coordination. Yet, Riot rarely balances the champions in this game around their own niche and instead balances them around their performance. This seems odd to me because performance of any particular champion will be different at different ELOs and especially between competative and soloQ. Not to mention the extent to which their niche is favoured/disfavoured by the meta -_-

You got triggered by a 5 ms buff?

That doesn't answer his question.

He is a support mage that goes mid with poor build paths.

What does a ms buff matter to you?

You pick TF for his impact on the team, since his early game is pretty bad. Building AP? No-one gets hit by your cards, becuase they move slower than molasses. Building AS? You'll need time and gold to get where you can just auto people to death. So, why pick TF? For his CC and his ultimate, which reveals the enemy team.

Seems like you already know the answer to your question. Riot wants bot lane early ganks and cross-map teleports to spice things up

because bot lane fiestas arent already a thing, just what we need more of

It has nothing to do with us normal players. The pros are simply better - so they want to forcibly create fiestas for them too, force the matches to have less farming and more fighting

Not TF buffs! Anything but those!

The same context like all the other small buffs: 'remind the pros that those champs exist and actually are/were strong all along' Few of those 'proplay aimed' buffs or nerfs are any meaningfull.
