I stand behind my opinion that the mastery update was a terrible one.
It has caused many balance issues and will bring many more. Also i miss the old support tree ;-;

I miss the season 3 mastery page. RIP utility Vlad.
Didn't play much before late season 5, looking back on the old masteries, i dislike the current ones a lot.

I do too!
I miss running pages with more points or less points in each tree, where I'm not blocked from fully investing into a tree or splitting across three trees.
The current mastery tree added so much to the game. Before the update you literally had: 1 Page for AD, 1 Page for AP, and 1 Page for support, There was no variation, there was no strategy, it was just plain boring.
The current mastery system allows you to strengthen a characters specific traits and playstyle while the old tree just gave you a shitty amount of stats.
I've played since mid season 4
I agree. Yes it brought problems, but variety does that.

I've played since early season2, and I couldn't disagree with you more. The mastery trees got better in season 3, but they took a deep nose dive in season 6.
All the mastery tree did before this season was give stats. The new masteries are an experiment to give special abilities to champions who want them, keystones, and give more percentage increases to help stacking. The masteries now are not horrible, they are very different, but they added so much to the game that they should stay, but the keystones need to be balanced along with the defensive tree.
Only thing that I don't like is that you can't put 30 points into offensive and do a dunk squad game. If you don't know what that is, look it up on youtube, you'll thank me later.
