Testing Shen on PBE AMA lol:)

Use it to dodge auto attacks. So after you taunt with E, press Q to bring the dagger to you, then press W, and you will dodge all their AAs. (you can also press W then press Q and the W wont be used until the dagger reaches you)

Edit: it also works on minions and monsters, so you can use it to freeze a wave and not take dmg if you choose to. (The duration isnt super long let me remind u)

Okay so his sword starts with him on spawn, and has a "leash" about the distance from t3 turret to t1 turret in mid. When you go past the range, it moves up (very very little perhaps half the distance from t3 to t2) Every time you use Q it springs to shens position, and will stay there until you press Q again or go out of the leash range. It always follows you after you use TP.

Unfortunately my custom game ended and now i need ppl in it to start it up again (rip super specifics) so ill try to remember the best i can:

His Q was i believe 5% of max HP and scaled with (an extremely high value of ap-I had a rylias and it still didnt budge) There was a 2nd ap value to his Q but i cant remember exactly what it was (also very low ap value) -Magic dmg

His E now scales with HP (again idr the exact number, but i had about 3400 hp and my E did an additional 174ish dmg) -Magic dmg

His Q CD (starting idr, but rank 5 went to 5 seconds) W CD was i believe 18 seconds at rank 1 (i forgot how low it got but i know it didnt get lower than 10), and E/R CD is i believe the same.

He doesn't feel "squishier" however his sustain is definitely not there, he feels more "all in" I could see him being more aggressive in lane.

The sword doesnt feel too limiting, i think movespeed will be pretty solid for shen because if you manage to run past a target then press Q, you can have a slow for ppl running away. Basically positioning will be pretty important to utilize his Q. And once u get rank 5 its on a super low CD and still spammable.

To add to your questions: He now has 400 energy and the cost of his spells went up because of it. (exact numbers im sorry i forget) But unless ur spamming W and E, your resources should be fine.

Q is still spammable, and has a flat dmg that scales per point in Q that does dmg to minions for 3 its, So if you press Q at max rank your Q will do 110 bonus dmg to minions for your next 3 autos.

at lvl 18 the shield passive his 10 seconds, but if you hit a target with a spell, it drops by 7.5, so it will only be on a 2.5 second CD.

His Q goes down to 5 seconds at max rank, ill try to get the starting CD asap. Its also 5% and has an ap scaling (which i dont know, but as i was telling sm1 else it was high enough that a rylias didnt make it budge)

He has 400 energy now, and his abilty costs went up. i think his Q was like 180 but idr all nor specifics (maybe ill write them down next game) But i can tell you this, if you arnt spamming W and E, you're free to Q and E almost all the time lol.

I only played him in a custom but no not really, his damage isnt any better than it was compared to live. His E is pretty much the same but scales with HP so thats better than an ap scaling, but the scaling isn't super high so it wont be like a 1 slide tripple kill with 5k hp thing. I would compare it similar to poppy in that he seems to have a lot more utility for him and his team.

I was telling sm1 else, i only played him in a custom so far so i dont really know exactly how strong he is comparatively. From the 40 mins or so i had with him a custom i think hes going to need to be a little more aggressive in lane with his new spells as he doesnt really have the sustain anymore to just get poked to hell. But yes i think he will still do well top lane.
