Is Attack Move important for a melee champ who deals almost no DMG with auto attacks?

I ask myself if i should learn to play more with attack move since many pros do it. But i am otp Voli and his autos deal low dmg anyway. So if i run into a bush and there is an enemy. Does it really matter if i hit 0,5 seconds later with my low-dmg auto attack?

Are there other situations where attack move is important as melee?

If you are ever going to play ADC, be it autofill or otherwise, you should learn how to attack move.

Also helps with kiting camps, although you could get away with not learning how to attack move

.... Most of Voli's damage comes from his autos. That's why he has a built in attack speed steroid, and also a not insubstantial auto-attack steroid on his R.

You don't want to load up on AD with him, but a few key items (titanic / ravenous, MAYBE new rage blade) make him quite dangerous with mostly auto's. Your W is an execute, not an opener.

It's very important for jungling. If you just stand still at the raptor camp, you'll lose most of your hp by the time youre done. Also, autos are very important early in the game on any champ, even mages. Kiting could be the difference of being able to get 1 more auto that leads to a kill vs them barely escaping.

But you still have to klick again once you finished a raptor, so whats wrong with Auto attack then?

When i watch lanes with camera while doing camps, auto attack seem to be the better choice, because i dont need to click to attack the next target. Currently i have activated "Target Champions Only"-Toggle. So when i am in jungle i play with Auto Attack and when i run in a Teamfight i aktivate that toggle for not accidently flip(Q) or Bite(W) a Minion or Tower.
