What further indication do you need that Mreg is broken?

Orianna is down to 44% winratio (Ranked 5v5). The champion itself wasn't changed. She used to be a perfectly viable champion.

Instead of the champion both, item 3174 and item 3165 were nerfed horribly into the ground.

Is there any better indication of how incredibly flawed the overall Mregen Pre&S5 mana changes and ManaRegen nerfs were?

I can't believe Riot still considers their gutting of these healthy. Not to mention that I still can't forget how Phreak responded to one of my posts saying that Mreg was perfectly fine because Orianna was such a strong pick...

Riot is right that mana was too easy to come by. Mana is only interesting if you can run out.

Now that it isn't, we can buff the higher mana consumption champions to have more impactful spells. That absolutely has to happen though, or we're not going to see them in competitive play.

It's almost like you have to MANAGE your mana now! Whoaaa! Sarcasm aside, the mana regen buffs were one of the BEST things they've done recently. As a Dota 2 player, I can say that previously, mana regen was way too strong. You have this belief that not being able to spam your spells makes them somehow less efficient.

Casters still have strong spells. There are a few out of the bunch, but it's pretty rare, since virtually every skills has some form of scaling. All this means is that now you have to learn to play strategically. You actually have to try to use your spells in moderation, and when you can use them to the full extent of their usefulness.

huh i seem to be doing pretty well on orianna.

have you considered that the drop in winrate is a result of people who havent quite adapted to a new playstyle yet? she's still strong, you just have to rely on Q and autos more and use your W less, especially in the early phases of the game. double doran ring is an excellent way to get past early mana troubles, and once you're level 9+ the chalice or morello regen really starts to come into play.
