What if we gave players a visable MMR rating in normal games?

From my understanding Normal games works no different then ranked DQ, so if the reason they added DQ was to make matches have some meaning when playing with friends or show that you are getting better/progressing, what if they just add MMR rating for Draft Pick normals?

TLDR: instead of making Ranked like Normals, why not make Normals like ranked but with MMR rating instead of gold/plat ect system.

Personally, I think it's stupid as hell that they hide your own MMR from you. That information is valuable as hell to progress

im interested to know how it would help you process? yes you can see your progession but so does going from 40 lp to 50 lp? i dont see how it would help improve your skill

Your LP would be a valid measurement if Riot did what a ranked system is supposed to do and pit you against people of your own rank. A Silver 4 should be in a match with 9 other silver 4s in an ideal situation. Cause if you can beat people of your own rank, then you should progress above that rank. But that's not what Riot does. Riot forces you to fight against people at generally the same skill level as you to proceed regardless of what your rank is. Rank and LP are only good for judging your progress if they're the ideal demonstration of where your level is. But they're not, MMR determines what level you're fighting at.

then wouldnt just adding mr to rank and removing normals altogether be best? like what the worst that can happen? "we are forcing you to have a chance at winning a free skin? how dare us!" xP jokes aside yeah i think if you add mmr just add it to ranked and remove normals

That system actually existed in season 2 and maybe season 3. I don't remember exactly when tiers and divisions were added. But the current tier and division system is actually better than the old elo system as it gives measureable progress that is very easy to understand compared to the old system where you just had a number and no real clue of exactly where you were in comparison to the rest of the playerbase. My only problem with the current system is that you're being forced to fight at your MMR while being represented by your rank which can be completely different. You could be silver and fighting at a platinum level MMR making it harder to progress cause wins will be harder than if you were matched up against other silvers.

then what be the point of normals? thats the only differences if you dont know so players feel like they arnt being judge. this is why alot of people who been playing the game for 2+ years dont see the point of playing normals.

Well... normal also has blind pick.

You'd need to stop people from practicing new champions/roles/builds in Normals. That's what keeps it from being competitive for groups of players, you never know what your other teammates or opponents are hoping to get out of the match.
