Dear RIOT, this is just another game length rant.

This is one of hundred thousands (if not millions) of post from summoners addressing their distaste for the current pace of League of Legends. For roughly 2 years the boards has been flooded daily with concerns of new match length. Furthermore, I've never seen a single post or comment from any summoner actually defending the shorter match times. Even in pro interviews, the answer they give is always a "safe" answer.

Take us back to the S2/S3 days. Match lengths of at least 45-55 minutes is (from what I've see) what everybody wants. In the beginning, when I clicked on the League of Legends client, I always had to be sure I had 70 minutes available (occasionally matches would get close to 80 but it was rare). I can't recall a full match ever being less than 40 minutes, and the majority floated around 50 for my games.

In good 2K17, you pretty much know the match is decided around the 15 minute mark and ends around 25 minutes unless the winning team throws. 1 kill in lane before the 4 minute mark can almost guarantee that lane will snowball if the jungler doesn't get a revenge kill before they can recall.

Looking at my match history, my new match average (win or lose) seems to be about 25 - 35 minutes (nexus destroyed). That's a 20 minute decrease from my old average. In the current state of the game, 4 full built items is standard. I used to reach full build every game back in the day.

At this rate, I expect matches to be Overwatch length by 2K19.

i seriously HATE the length of a match... to short, to decided by 10 minutes, and seriously, over shortly there after... Simple fix - Double turret health, Double turret damage, Double turret defence, and make deaths more fucking punishable - if you die, there should be NO reason your back in lane 30 seconds later edit before to after 15 minutes...

-------- additional edit ---------

Games used to be fortold by gold amounts, now its not, you can be behind in gold, behind in kills, no dragons, no towers, behind in EVERYTHING and still win a game... its seriously sad..

Idk, imo right now I'm actually really liking the length of games. At the start of the season it was a little ridiculous, games ended by 20, but most of the games I've been experiencing since mid season lasted from 30-40 minutes and even some of them drawn out to over an hour, which I haven't witnessed in years.

imo 30-40 is perfectly fine, as games don't feel too short (end before late game exist) and they don't feel incredibly long (endless feeling, to the point you don't care about the outcome you just want to go get lunch). Not to mention anything longer usually translates to which ever team basically stat checks the other and wins a fight or throws baron or has a vayne/nasus.

For once, I'm actually happy about game length, and the silence I've been seeing since that was a hot topic makes me confident I'm not the only one.
