Divers is a terrible Subclass name.

The most appropriate name for them would be Vanguard, but you have that to tanky initiators. Name them something like Landsneckt or something then.

OR change Vanguard to Bastion and Divers to Vanguard.

And Controllers also sounds forced as hell. Change it to Enchanters

But you gave that to Supports like Janna and Lulu... Change THEIR name to Clerics.

You don't have to try and make us support players feel more cooler than we already are. Its just looking silly, Rito.

They are called "enchanters" because they have ally-targeted buff which "enchant" said ally. Cleric would imply healer (which they aren't).

The divers are intuitively called Divers since they dive the enemies...pretty self-explanatory there.

Controllers control the battlefield; most of them don't enchant anything except their opponent's screen into turning grey if they get too close.

First off, Clerics are not exclusively healers, they also have ally buffs and protection spells and cures, which properly describes the subset of champions.

Enchanting doesn't make sense because it isn't even something that is done on an ally, but weapon and/or piece of equipment. It is even more confused when THE GAME already acknowledges this point by having Boot and Smite enchantments in the game already.

That term only makes sense to the LoL community that uses the terminology. it makes no sense otherwise. By that same token of logic, Warden's would have just been called Body Guards or something. W8. not even. Bodyguard is way more creative and clever of a name because it communicates it without using terms that only make sense to people the term is useless on since they are already involved with the game.

It is also a term that is used for many thing other than simply diving in a team fight. One can dive into the enemy base, turret dive. etc. It comes off as lazy as if they couldn't think of something better, and just said "screw it".

Controllers control the battlefield; most of them don't enchant anything except their opponent's screen into turning grey if they get too close.

By this logic, Vanguards and Wardens control the battle field and should be called controllers.

marksman<--->movable cannon with a personality same difference to me really. I think enchanter sounds cool tbh.

I'm not too hot on warden but it's better than bodyguard since some people might think it means "stay with this one person you belong to them"

Controller to me communicates something that isn't tanky and doesn't get into the fight, while a vanguard is someone who leads the fight (makes sense) and a warden guards something (also makes sense).

  • only buffing the markman

Weak saunce, famo :x Was good for the keks tho.

I think enchanter sounds cool tbh.

And I think it sounds like its trying to hard to make supports sound special, at the expense of making sense.

BodyGuards don't only guard one perosn unless they are personal BodyGuards but i digress this is semantics? would "bouncer" be better for you then? >_>

Controller actually communicates Minion-mancers to me because you aren't actually controlling anything with these "controllers" you are manipulating the battle field, which is the appropriate term for what they do.

Also, the term warden is used to describe someone with the job of keeping watch over a jail to prevent people from escaping Doesn't really communicate the same thing as the role of the champions in the class.

And even then, Id describe minion-mancers as summoners, but then that would conflict with the term Summoner. FFS Rito.

My point is, its inconsistent. you can't argue Point A when it doesn't apply to all the cases equally.

We'll have to agree to disagree then. I think it's good start on their part. and enchanters aren't just supports >.<" asdfghjkjbjtp Bouncer would be ok with me (better than Ward'n Warden)

Description of them says otherwise tho.

Divers is a terrible Subclass name.

Gets the point across though, which is pretty important.

The most appropriate name for them would be Vanguard, but you have that to tanky initiators.

What does guarding a van have to do with jumping on someone's face? :P

No it doesn't. The only people who it gets the point across to is the community that is already involved with the terminology.

the term Diver communicates THIS GUYNautilus to people.

What does guarding a van have to do with jumping on someone's face? :P

By that logic, Vanguard is a terrible name for the Tanky initiators Riot currently gave the name to.
