Im playing support, and have a item 3098 . Its got 3 ward charges, and our mid at one point starts crying bout me not having a sightstone. To be fair, I often call out supports who are letting every drag get solod, and let their lane get ganked nonstop with no vision... but I HAD A SIGHTSTONE!

I know reading patch notes is too much for people in my elo, and thats why (kinda joking) we need a quiz before you can que up for a ranked game that ask questions about the patch notes.

In my case I simply said "They changed support items, I have a sightstone, read patch notes dipsht." This let them know they were the ignorant one in the exchange and they kindly shut up after that.

Here we are again. A fairly impactful change has been made to the itemization that almost every match sees, and peopel who dont know cause they dont read patchnotes act an ass about it... Riot at least add the change to the loading screen tips so at least some clowns will be exposed to change.

I delt with that today as well. Still seeing adcs picking up tarragon and being surprised they cant get shield.

Awareness of patch notes and the game's development cycle is a skill that I think is often overlooked in Ranked play. I don't really understand why either, because patches tend to bring significant gameplay changes every two weeks that can redefine one's strategy, and seriously affect the metagame (then again, we also have a fair contingent of players who first-time champions in Ranked, or do the same with freshly-released or VGU'd champions). While I don't think this should be forced, I think it should be strongly advised for players to take a small break from Ranked immediately after a patch hits, and go play a couple of normals to get at least a basic feel of what's changed and how. One issue is that some players tend to look for ways to blame others regardless of what happens, so your mid laner informing themselves would possibly not have changed their attitude, but at least it could have stopped them from putting their foot in their mouth then.

I love seeing all the adc still buying relic shield and upgrading it, how hard is it to read patch notes?

I had a mid laner who was feeding, so he wanted to build as a second support, and he asked why he couldn't buy Frost Queen's Claim.

I feel like the first time someone logs onto League after a patch, a prompt should pop up with patch notes on it saying "Check out the changes in patch #.#." with the full patch notes in a scroll under it. That way kids have the chance to actually read the patch notes.

I don't believe that , I was hardstuck in low elo a lot , and the new support changes were popular in a lot of facebook pages that full of Bronze proud players , even my friends who quit playing knew about it everyone knows about the support items getting changed besides let's forget this point In low elo , they barely know sight stone , no one complains about warding and no one even looks at map when a bush is warded

a moron

Or you know. Maybe it's just someone who didn't read the patch notes.

You also started calling him "dipshit" over a minor misunderstanding.

Who the hell are even upvoting you here? You seem to be an a-hole.
