We are still working on the details for the 2015 Season, but the current plan is that players who have been Chat Restricted, Ranked Restricted or Game Banned during the 2015 Season will not receive Season Rewards in Ranked. Players who have had Low Priority Queues won't be affected unless they have had 20 min Low Priority Queues. Emails and Player Support sites will be updated with this new info when we finalize the details.

Isn't Chat Restricted players not receiving season ranked rewards a bit excessive?

What's up with that? It will just drive people away from this game. I'm terrified at the thought of fighting hard to get to gold league and then having it taken away from me just because i went on tilt one time.

I completely agree with you, Fighting hard for rewards and then having them taken away from you is completely unfair, I remember they made seperate rewards last year, where good players recieved mystery skins and Ranked rewards was left alone.

Chat Restrictions aren't always justified. Seeing players who are restricted because of unwarranted reports not receiving their rewards for their hard work is ridiculous.

If they wanted to add something like this, they should fix their reporting system first.

The system isn't even following the Summoner's Code everybody agreed to follow. There's even a separate case for being negative towards certain situations like yourself dying to a failed tower dive.

I for example was banned a month later for nearly exactly same case, except I went to ward from the wrong side and got killed.

Fuck me right?

What's next? Getting 100 games for saying "Hi"?

yet they let players afk in ranked games with little to no consequence. even if a player d/c for 2 minutes or 10 minutes pending spot of the game it might be instant loss. riot needs to drop the hammer on afks in ranked games. i bet riots response will be something like "we are currently working on a new stronger system to punish players that go afk in ranked games. however we understand that real life happens and we dont want people to stop playing our game." that is riots line that they will shill. i want to know what punishment was doled out to the 4 players on my teams that went afk during my placement matches. i went 6 and 4 in my matches. the 4 losses all had people go afk on my team 10 or more minutes. something needs to happen

To keep punishing people after that...well Is like taking back to jail anyone who was in prision anytime in life, no matter if it was years ago and now they changed their conduct...tell me a good reason genius?

You are right there, sadly it will not solve this...Rioters dont really care that much about creating a healthy community, they just want players to fear Riot more than they fear toxic players, so we dont even respond to bully attacks to not get reported...

Just make it like 10 games+ chat restriction and you don't get it. If I swear a little excessively in one game, and can't talk the next, that really isn't fair.

EDIT: However, if I have a 60-game chat restriction... well now, we have a problem.

The very first chat restriction is very low, like 5 games. Afterwards... Let's say I've been chat restricted for 600 games and a year later I still got 150 games one for one "fuck" the bot took out of context.

Personally speaking, I find that kind of fair. The only ones completely denied are the people who ended up in the longest leaver ques, which is tricky enough to pull off, or people who got temp banned. Those are pretty serious offenses.

Again not really, if you quote people on what they're saying to you (like saying why would you say X to me) and they report you, you can get banned because it's an automated system that just looks for key words. Getting a straight up ban while having no prior offenses is not that hard. Everyone I know has gotten one.

There's this giant thread of some dude who even got falsely 2 week banned, take a look at tell me he deserved it.

For every guy that gets falsely banned, there are literally thousands out there that deserve it. And they'll try to argue and fight it anyway.

And honestly, I'm very sure people exaggerate. I'm no toxic player, but I have a temper. Occasionally, someone does something stupid or tries to mock me, and I will flare up. And I can be pretty harsh about it, if it warrants it. I have yet to receive even a single chat ban, and I'm very sure that people have been reporting me. The trick is moderation.

Also, if you're going to be so foolish as to respond to someone saying "why would you say 'x'?", then you fully deserve the consequences. People should know better.

I mean, could entirely be wrong here, but doesn't it have to be in a short period of time? Even I leave games now and then, mostly for actual important stuff, and I've never gotten anything worse than the warning.

Thanks, Riot. I worked hard to get in to Gold from Bronze and now I won't get my rewards. That's cool, I don't need to play this game anyways.

I've been placed on 20 minutes low priority before for being "afk" a few times because the game wouldn't let me connect, saying my firewall is blocking the game... it hasn't happened in a while and I got a notification a week or so ago complimenting me on not going afk for a while. If I don't get my gold end of season rewards I will be done with this game, that would be absolutely outrageous to be denied my hard work for something that was entirely beyond my control.

I don't know. I feel like Riot is trying to make this game rated 3+. You get banned because you try, as nicely as possible, telling people how to play better and to ward their lanes. Just absolutely no reason to chat in game anymore because apparently anything you say that causes someone to get triggered will get you banned.

"I made a huge blunder earlier, then was on a flight so didn't have a chance to correct the post earlier. In the last season of Leagues play, we excluded some of the Ranked Rewards from players that were excessively toxic (so, exhibited severe offensive behaviors such as racism and sexism) or were persistently toxic (so, exhibited moderately offensive behaviors in a large number of games). We're going to continue this policy this year; however, there are some slight changes: One, we always want to encourage reform, and celebrate players that successfully reform by the end of the season. So, players that got a Chat or Ranked Restriction during the season, but manage to reform and DO NOT HAVE active Chat or Ranked Restrictions by the season end cutoff will still get their Ranked Rewards. Players that still have active Chat or Ranked Restrictions by the season end cutoff will not be eligible. Two, players that have received a few Low Priority Queues will still be eligible for Ranked Rewards because we do not want to punish players who may have gotten a few queues due to ISP or hardware issues; however, extremely chronic leavers that have left a huge fraction of their games or hundreds and hundreds of games will not receive Ranked Rewards. These are players that have ruined hundreds of thousands of games, and have had multiple 20 minute Low Priority Queues. Three, players that have received escalated bans (so 7-day or 14-day bans) for excessive toxicity at any point during the 2015 Season will not receive Ranked Rewards. Players that have received these types of bans have shown some of the most egregious behaviors in the game, and we have a zero tolerance policy against things like racism, sexism, homophobia and other kinds of hate speech. These players WILL be eligible for Ranked Rewards in future seasons if they reform and are not flagged for excessive behaviors in future seasons. Hope this clarifies a few things and sorry for the mashing of sentences in the earlier post. Good luck on the rest of the season!"

this doesn't make it much better. it is still double punishment, hyper delayed punishment, and litterally just a mark of disapointment that gets to hang over you until next season. Why not just tell the player to kill them self while you are at it.. they obviously dont care.

I see, well that's fine then. It does bother me however that some games (especially around promo tiers for plat/gold) people just become unbearable, and even if you are polite you will get reported if you type, if you don't type, hell even if you win you get reported.

The league's system is flawed because its bans are, at best, selective to keep their stats pretty.... so I just mute both teams the moment i get ingame.

Fuck getting a ban for typing anything, even if communication has to suffer, and that's the system riot wants in my opinion.
