Let's talk about the Azir "update"
My first impression: A HUGE nerf. He got one bonus: The attackspeed on W - and it's pretty darn useless since a.) due to Azir's mana limitations he barely gets to trigger it in lane b.) the bonus is ignoreable until you have at least 3 points in it c) it's useless for poking and overall often avoidable since it requires your enemy to stay inside the soldiers d) your enemy notices the setup and EASILY make a step back when you are waiting for the cooldown to get your 3rd W...
Furthermore with the reduced range he's worse at poking. He's worse at making ult plays due to his range. He is worse at dashing away with WQE. And even though he has an attackspeed buff his DPS is LOWER since his range is so short that he can't place his soldiers behind enemies anymore in order to maximize the duration they remain in attack range when fleeing.
He now is an ADC with worse scaling (even worse earlygame compared to some ADC), no lifesteal, huge setup requirements and easily avoidable damage.
From what I have seen so far the "rework" is a horrific nerf.
I know a lot of people on this board hate Azir as a whole and are happy to see any nerf to him, but considering he already was at place 136 out of 138 in terms of winrate more nerfs just weren't justified. Well, this patch is not even a nerf - it's a death sentence. His weaknesses remain untackled while his strengths were removed.
