Hey remember when Ekko was pick or ban for half a season

And Riot in response buffed his damage through the roof, lowered his E CD, and all kinds of things?

Remind me why we did that?

And don't even try to pretend losing the slow on his passive was that bad. They buffed his Q slow to compensate.

Since he was dominant as tank and bruiser they had to nerf his base damage and buff his scaling. He is supposed to be very strong as AP.

Yeah... I donno that building a Hextech Revolver and 100-0ing someone with no counterplay whatsoever (minus playing Poppy) is reasonable.

With no counterplay? Heal, exhaust, barrier, magic resistance and tons of tools that mid champs have. Also you can only 100-0 someone with hextech if you land ulti too which is almost impossible on lane against someone thats not bot.

Counterplay: Actively doing something to beat someone's kit or mitigate damage.

Stacking shields or stats isn't counterplay, it's an excuse.

And no, with Electrocute being bullshit now, you don't need your ult to 100-0 someone.

1 shield can be considered a form of outplay 2 ekko has 2 trouble (Is ult can be dodjable by everyone who's eyes, his dmg output is less stronger compared to fizz even in his base ability with no ult) 3 Assasin is suppose to melt squishi so you're suppose to test your damage against Mercurial/maw of malmortius/other mr item if you think that champ is strong or no (practically why i should't oneshot enemy lux if she has only her W and no mr? She can still oneshot me from the triple of my range if i don't get bashee/abyssal).

Just saying stuff without any mathematical evidence doesnt make it true. If you consider he is lvl 7 with hextech revolver, against any enemy lvl 7 with item of equal value that provides any kind of defense against Ekko burst (that includes health items) its mathematically impossible. Ekko is an assassin, he gets outscaled by mages. For that reason, mages are supposed to start defensive against him.

Ekko has extremely telegraphed abilities, with very clear weaknesses. He has middling damage for an assassin, middling waveclear for a mage, and is melee. He has very few actual "winning" matchups that are based on the kit and not skill.
