So um....Are Cassiopia mains satified with the rework?

I'm asking because I have not seen a single Cass player since the rework went live.

This iteration is much, much better than 'Stashupeia' (may you burn in the pits of hell).

Regardless of whether she's UP or OP, she plays well and her mechanics are good, and her problems can easily be fixed with simple number tweaks.

I like that maxing Q and going full DoT first is possible now, without killing the 'E first' build, resulting in two viable builds with different play patterns.

New Miasma might need some time to get used to, and the minimum cast range reduces her safety a bit against some divers, but it's a completely original and situationally powerful effect that hasn't been seen yet that could lock out certain mobility champs during skirmishes/team fights.

I'm also glad the got rid of that idiotic stack system.

I feel as though the minimum range is a problem actually. It makes Cassiopeia completely reliant on her ult to mitigate dives which is an issue because of its accessibility (post 6, cooldown). A far better trade off for Miasma would be for the 'arc' to widen the farther away that it is cast. Essentially, if Cass were to cast it right in front of her it would be smaller than her old W, with a single pool of poison to stop enemy movement, while if cast at max range it would have the same wide coverage.

It's good for champions to have weaknesses.

Exactly, it increases the skill cap and if this minimum range was taken off we would have to nerf her damage output and we don't want that to happen do we?

Why does Cassiopeia have this weakness, being a medium-range mage, and not any other character in the game? Including artillery champions like Xerath and Lux?

I didn't suggest Cassiopeia shouldn't have a weakness, but this particular brand of arbitrary limit is the wrong kind of clutch to put in her kit.

Cassiopeia is stronger in this situation than an Aurelion Sol, as she can still use her Q and E, her primary damage tools, at melee range.

Given that her single target damage and sustain can give her powerful dueling potential even after a melee champion gets in melee range of her, making her also capable of self-peeling without even using an ult does sound like a champion has been created with no weaknesses.

Cassiopeia mains are never satisfied, since season 4 i only read complaints on Gameplay

Well they did change her to basically be all about the E spam, with her other abilities being used simply to enable the e spam.

Well maybe that's because during season 4 they did the first rework that was a bit of a failure? Majority of her playerbase didn't like the "Stashu Rework" that much.

Karma Rengar were the first failed reworks.

When did they rework rengar?

When did they rework rengar?

Season 4 they gave him an "attempted" rework only to be reverted the patch after because it completely destroyed his kit

I like it a lot.

i think the rework is atrocious. they 'fixed' a champ that wasn't broken.

Kedren Aderac1 votes

Well she wasn't broken... just bad.

Now she's fine.

each their own, i guess. I loved old cass.

Kedren Aderac1 votes

... yet you didn't even play her. Not with that account at least.

Bobloser35551 votes

And how many games have you played with the new Cass? You should at least play 20 games with her before making such a statement.

its bad

Kedren Aderac3 votes

Yes.

She's just fine now, even though her Q could get some lower mana costs @ early levels (to match her E mana costs).

BloodyTompon3 votes

Probably not. The Cass mains were pretty split before. I recall reading some of the posts where Riot would ask a question and you'd get two opposite answers both with a lot of support.

People seem to be mostly happy now.

If there's something that divides opinions, it's her new W. Some people like it, some people don't due to the fixed range and the fact that it doesn't give vision anymore.

I'd say the rework did a pretty great job of satisfying both sides. Poisons are much stronger than they used to be and their usefulness is no longer based entirely on how well they enable her E. On the other hand, her E isn't gimped at all, still doing tons of damage, healing her and being a great farm tool (probably better than before).

As someone whose wish with the rework was for both parts of her kit to be strong without one overwhelming the other, I'm very happy.

zlumpy2 votes

Sure does hurt when you miss that q now.

Abyssphere3 votes

I'd say it hurts quite a bit less given that you don't put your E on a 5 second cooldown anymore. On the other hand, W isn't really a good backup plan anymore.

Bobloser35552 votes

Yeah she is still fun and you got more viable builds now.

Oerba No Naja2 votes

she is perfect , the only thing that bothers me is that they made her a bit more team dependant and nerfed her solo carry potential a bit . they nerfed her laning phase and buffed her late game ( again ) . But she is fine w/e

AlwaysByMySide1 votes

She appears to be doing very well.

LaughingStapler1 votes

She's very good now.

For the most part I like it. I'm still iffy on the new W, but it does let Cassi have a lot to bring to the table now. But honestly, except for that one point where Cassiopeia was significantly overturned in like patch 4.21, she's never been a popular champion, and probably never will be.

So I don't think on the whole Cassi players are unsatisfied, but that there's only a handful of them so you don't see her pop up very often in games. Her abysmal WR before her buffs may also have turned people away.

its better now than it was before.
