Galios Ban Rate?

So, since he's rework, I've played about 15-20 matches.. and his ban rate is 100%. I have yet to play a single unranked normal with the new Galio.

Is this others experience? Are people that afraid of him?

I don't see him banned much in ranked. Frankly it's a waste of a ban. I usually see him banned last because people don't know to ban but there are far better uses for a ban.

Double checking he does have the 2nd highest ban rate of around 47%. What a waste.

or yet they are banning so that way they don't have him on their team

Generally I see new champions banned a fair bit, but this just seems overkill - I have literally yet to see him, let alone TRY him!

hes probably still getting banned because people ban out of habit.

and he was almost 100% banned the first week after his release because people didnt want their teammats to be smartasses who tried him in their ranked game without even watching the goddamn spotlight.

ive had such a clown in one of my games. he didnt know galio couldnt dash over walls and it ended to fuck over a teamfight and lost us the game.

I'm actually just playing Unranked Draft. Generally get matched with gold/plat/diamond players.

Galio is overpowered, he does so much damage and the ult is really strong. I've beaten Pantheon and Renekton easily with Galio. I wonder if he has a hard counter at the moment. Maybe Olaf because he can poke too, has cc immunity ult and a sustain advantage.

I guess this seems to be the general consensus, that he is just over-tuned - but To not even have a chance to see him in action for 15+ Games?

It just seems unreal.
