Deadman's plate is sooo good on Veigar. (And an example full build)

Like seriously, its everything he wants defensivly AND it gives SICK MOVESPEED! Sure, he needs Deathcap and Void, and probably something for mana and CDR, but that leaves 2 slots left!

The best end game build -

455 MS and you'll still have over 1k AP! No one is killing you, and you are killing everyone! You can swap for for more damage and MS at the cost of HP and sustain!

The only problem with it is it makes less optimal, as auto attacking breaks the MS.

Run 15% scaling CDR on your blues for maximum fun!

Meh. with speed and vision, you dont need defense on veigar. Thats why luden's echo beats that, IMO.

Ludens is 34 ms, DMP is 60

but DMP is only sometimes 60, right? (oh, only autoattacks mess it up. good point) but still, thats only after 2700 gold. ludens gives you an instant boost after only 850g, for wisp.

you say its a good late game item. however, if I make it to lategame with veigar, i pretty much never die at that point. My deaths are almost always early game.

I'd probably go more with morellos and twin shadows, over dead man's plate and warmogs. or GA at least.

I mean, it varies by match up, but if they are diving/focusing you, building tanky makes them in a lose-lose situation.

Its pretty much always 60 ms, unless you auto attack, sometimes its a little less due to slows and such, but only very slightly less.

Zhonya's is more expensive and gives AP instead of HP - The active (and early armor on seekers) is crucial for some matchups (e.g. Zed), but against many teams the MS is much more likely to save you, and is always more likely to let get a good stun off.

map awareness is 100% guarenteed to save you. After that, you need MOAR AP :p oh and cooldowns. so, morellonomicon mo beddah. morellos, echos, hat, void staff, twin shadows.

that last one right there. double slow will save you just as well as movement speed, since it effectively gives you a movement speed bonus over two enemies. PLUS AP!! PLUS direct movement speed buff as well!

Veigar does need some mobility, but he's a hypercarry first, so let's not gut his valuable AP for it

The thing is, AP is less valuable for him than most, as he passively gets quite a bit - AP from items is there for a much lower percentage of his damage.
