Kaisa and Lucian are destroying botlane diversity
It's either Lucian or Kaisa in ur team. They are so powerful that u can't pick other adcs.

Destroying bot lane destroyed bot lane diversity.
Amazingly, when you nerf every single ADC as well as make itemization a crap shoot, you’re not going to have a balance lane.
Why bother picking nearly any other ADC when they can barely do their job will being the easiest class to kill unless you’re playing absolutely perfectly (and even then, it’s just below that)?
Lucian and Kai’Sa are popular because the former has mobility and kiting, the latter because she can afford to build actual defensive items with her AP build.
Sure, but when bot lane wasn't dismantled, what did we have?
Tristana, Caitlyn, and 1k damage crits flying all over the place. Marksmen are a hot mess, and it's NEVER had diversity. The most diversity we saw in bot lane was 8.11, when we had the usual trifecta of marksmen on top of some non-marksmen, rather than just being in another trifecta of marksmen.
I disagree. Think season 4 was the most free. It was hyper scaling carries in twitch, kog and vayne vs bullies in lucian, cait and varus. That was pro play. The only adc that was weak was ashe
season 5 had the most diversity.
graves lucian vayne kalista jinx sivir ashe were the memorable ones. none of this poke shit with cait+karma or DISGUSTING shit like twitch/kog/lulu/janna
Then you don't remember season 5.
Season 5 was the Jinx/Vayne/Tristana show. Still a trifecta of marksmen. Ashe and Sivir were the tier under those three. You guys hold seasons 3 through 5 on this weird pedestal for some reason.
There's a difference.
In previous seasons, you had "the best", and then most everyone else below that somewhere between "good" and "ok", maybe with a few at the bottom actually bad.
Now though, you have the few at the top that are "good", and the rest are just bad. Other ADCs can't compete not because Kai and Lucian are just outperforming them, but because the surrounding game state makes picking them just not even worth it.
No, it was about the same in season 5, where solo queue was entirely dominated by Jinx/Trist/Vayne and pro play saw a bit of Sivir/Ashe on top of that trifecta. The difference is "who's where?". I've got thousands on thousands of support games since I started...which was season 5. Bot lane marksmen are never diverse. The only difference between now and then is "who's on top?".
Think on it: Do you think mid lane has the room for there to be like 8 different high/top tier mages at once? No. It has a few top tier burst mage picks, a few top tier battle mage picks, a few top tier assassin picks, and now we get a couple of fighters every once in a while. You get diversity by having more sub-classes in the lane. You won't have space for most or every character in a sub-class to be strong picks at the same time.

Plenty of other ADCs are strong right now.
(in lower elos) ect
Is really the only ADC that is weak ATM.
The actual reason you see a few ADCs dominate at a time is because ADCs have so much of their power budget invested in damage dealing rather then utility like most other classes/roles. So whichever deals the most damage just gets picked in most scenarios, other roles/classes are much more often picked for their utility in a specific matchup/team comp even if they aren't the "most powerful damage dealer or tankiest tank" at the time.
That's literally this season too.
We still have Draven, Sivir, MF, Quinn, Xayah and Ashe as good ADCs. This is nearly identical to the era of season 5 and every other season.
There's always 2 or 3 ADCs that are just better than everyone else in solo Q. That's just the nature of a lane where the majority of their influence comes from how much DPS they put out. The ones that apply the most the safest are the best for that meta.
In fact, this is literally how it is for every other role too. There's always 2-3 top tier picks for a lane and then picks that are viable right beneath them.
it was lucian and vayne vs kalista for the first few months (vi J4 reksai aswell ;D) and then graves became meta after lucian got nerfed. and then mid season it was jinx/sivir/ashe when the tank meta kicked in. but guess what? you could still pick what you want cause meta champs werent overly dominant from start to finish.
You know what?
Sure

Vayne was only meta early season due to Relic Shield and Fleet Footwork being insanely over tuned.
Soon as that got nerfed, she dropped out of flavor.
I mean if riot actually played their own game they could balance it. Ghostcrawler said you don't have to so they took it to gospel Especially in top lane
Riot: We cant allow
to be strong or she murders bot lane diversity
Also Riot: This is fine

so much yes. just made a post about how cait has been shit teir for like a whole split

She does murder bot lane diversity though.
Have fun trying to play

while Caitlyn is even the slightest bit viable.
I'm not defending Kai'Sa and Lucian's balance state, they both need addressing asap.
Caitlyn needs to be fairer to play against (No placing traps in enemy tower range for example) before she is given any power.
You don't like unseeable traps hiding above your turret?

Caitlyn makes ranged champions feel like melee champions. That champ is actually complete cancer to lane against and was S tier for a LONG time before she got rightfully gutted.
She needs a minirework. Her playstyle was just uninterectivr as fuck whenever she’s strong.
It's this reason and also the fact that she doesn't really fulfill the skilled sniper fantasy that I want her to get reworked so bad.

Main thing for me that makes laning vs a Caitlyn uninteractive as fuck is the fact she can place trap walls under your turret without taking tower shots as the traps have an insane cast range.
Traps should either
Traps should either
- Be attackable when under an enemy turret
- Have 50% reduced duration and effect while under a enemy turret
- Not be allowed to be spawned under an enemy turret
Every single one of these suggestions completely contradicts the purpose that these traps are supposed to fulfill. Caitlyns rework in the marksman update aimed at making her the prime sieging marksman.
She is supposed to pressure you under your tower while she is damaging it. That's also the reason why they changed her headshot passive to be able to damage towers. Sieging is what she should be best at and making her traps extremely weaker in that situation makes no sense.
And if you ban them you get the next worst champs in bot lane.

If Tristana, Caitlyn, or Kog'Maw became powerful again -- it's rather stifling since Tristanas safety becomes a monstrosity as it massively snowballs, Caitlyns bullying becomes almost insurmountable, and Kog'Maws damage becomes a binary delete button that scales to cover every champion.
Kai'Sa will generally always retain power because her self-peel is insane, just like Tristana, but she is much harder to itemize against and has every tool to carry including damage, invisibility, move speed, hyper dash, shielding, and steroids. Lucian is easier to deal with by just tapping his numbers back again to pre-worlds and seeing where it lands. But I suppose pre-season is upon us, so it doesn't matter.
The Kai'sa does have a really strong kit there's not denying that, largely because she was designed as a mid-late game monster with hybrid damage and abilities that become stronger when stat thresholds are met. However she's not unstoppable or anything, plus her ultimate shield just got reduced to a 2 second duration too.
If Kai'sa is frustrating you play
cuz Poppy stop Kai'sa ult and Kai'sa is designed as a high AS champion, which Rammus naturally thrives against cuz of his W and Thornmail being part of his core build.
all also do well against Kai'sa because they have ways to punish her shorter than average AA range or ways to lock onto her so she can't use her E movespeed to juke. Nasus W, Naut R, Malz R, Panth W, Skarner R, Blitz Q (Blitz destroys her in lane when she's weakest since his Q is SO punishing), Taliyah E (Procs on Kai'sa R, might even kill her mid air), Vi R, Zed R, Malphite R (plus he gains bonus armor from his W passive which enhances Thornmail damage), Ali combo. Plus a good number of the above champions can fit a Thornmail into their build or have reliable CC to make her an easier target for their team. Item wise beyond Thornmail you can also build
the passive of which reduces ALL of Kai'sa passive damage on you, since her AAs apply it in lower amounts than the final pop, you'll already have Adaptive Helm's 20% reduction effect on u before it pops reducing the execute damage too.
Every champion has ways to deal with them. Rammus thrives off of any ADC however, but not as much so into Vayne or Kai'Sa. He works, yes -- but with much more effort. All the ways to deal with Kai'Sa require more Gold or effort than dealing with any other ADC. That's the issue, the margin of error is surpassed because of her massive toolkit and potential mixed damage output and itemization paths. Thornmail is not nearly as effective into her as it is into every other ADC other than Kog or Vayne. Even then it isn't enough, you need an Adaptive Helm.
If the ways to deal with a champion of a class is a blanket to deal with 90% of the class, and still requires more gold investment or harder focus onto one target that has more peel than what you just have to overcome on their own [while retaining high damage], then it's a much more effective champion than the rest of the class with far more room to punish mistakes and get out of smaller ones that are devastating for that other 90% of the class. She can be dealt with, but only through far more than should be necessary.
I would say just put the items back in patch 8.11 state, like Riot actually planned before going back on their word and making it seem like 8.11 never even happened But when you look at their builds, that wouldn't help at all Lucian is strong because he doesn't build the traditional crit build, he takes BORK, Cleaver, usually two crit items, Cannon and IE, followed by GA or Mecurial Scimitar, but even with his builds it still because of his kit to an extent, his passive is strong, his ult gives him a ton of range, and his Q is annoying at times For whatever reason Riot thought it would be a good idea to make Lucian a lane bully, I think it's mostly cleaver that's the problem, maybe BORK as well
As for Kai'sa, Well we all know why that is, Typical overloaded kit, Her shield on her R is too much in my opinion, I think her W and R have too much range, and her passive is free damage along with also stealing Kha'zix's passive But all of that would be at least somewhat ok if you could at least build against her, That split damage is insane, Buildint traditional crit she already shreds, Building crit + AP shreds even more, and full AP is just a nightmare on her You stack armor, her AP gets you, you stack MP, her AD gets you, You build both, well you'll have too little to deal with her damage I have no clue what they were thinking when they made her
and guess wat,she just got a new skin so dont expect nerf soon,2 skins if you count prestige(pride and acomplisment) edition Maybe rito will be mercifull and remove 5 ms or 10 damage form her w to shut us unskylled plebeians up
Rito big brain, never nerf the female champions people complain about because they make money
I believe Lucian is no way near close of being strong as
in season 7
Lucian is fed ? he will dash to you and use his full combo and kill you if you are a squishy because he is a burst type marksman , then his abilities go on cooldowns , sure he can he can right click but his normal basic attacks without his abilities and passive aren't strong as other marskmen and he isn't fast enough to melt tanks
Tristana fed ? Jumps on you from 2 miles away and from a range that is Lucian AA + his dash presses E AA R on you and you die before you can even react then jumps on another one and keeps right clicking because she depends on attack speed which made him one of the most cancerous 1v5 carry champions
Cait got fed ? well she will use her Lucian AA range + his dash range combined " a little but exaggerating " and 2v5 enemy team when she crits with headshots like 1000 hp and can still do it forever decided to all in her ? well she will E away , she has built in traps that help her a lot
I'm not biased towards Lucian or something , not really an adc main , but so far Lucian is the most fair meta between ad carries I played against between adc I main Cait " around 100k points "so yea
You're ignoring that Lucians E pretty much auto resets with a full rotation of spells later in the game, plus any Lucians that get ER and really do just straight reset his dash. He has more DPS than you give him credit for, he doesn't have the range. He doesn't need to kill a tank as fast if he just kites them out all day.
I'd rather have Lucian be meta than Kog/Twitch/Trist. Those 3 can go die in a hole.
I prefer Kog to be meta, because it means you can do something. Lucian has virtually the highest AS of all champions at level 3 and for a while, he has no downtime in his engage and chase, mobility, high burst, completely stupid DPS (should I remind some of you that he can AAEAAQAAWAAEAA with a passive proc on each AA after a spell is cast? in this 2-4 second combo you just took 6 AAs with 4 passives, 1 Q and 1 W and if he plays with PTA you took 9 attacks under PTA (since the first 2 attacks don't deal PTA damage). This is gonna be the same for the whole game. He just can't not get fed unless you camp with 5 champs on his lane.

good luck doing anything with Kog+Lulu melting your team as soon as he finishes rageblade.

OS them both as Rengar/Talon/Kha Zix/any assassin/diver with enough gap closer+damage to kill them before lulu can react and W you. Or just silence Lulu a,d instant kill Kog. It's easy, just base tactics, play some strategy/tactics games some time it helps a lot. Strategy/tactics and adaptation is the main reason for me to not have a real main champion, the other one being that I don't like playing the same thing over and over it's so boring.
Kaisa really isnt a powerhouse ever since her nerfs. The only ADC that really has snowball/carry potential is Lucian at the moment, and mostly because he kind of cheats being an ADC by using other items.
I just realised
basically has an abridged version of
's ult on a basic ability (invis + empowered auto)...
and
are doing well because they have self peel, multi-target damage and don't need crit items/AS to succeed. They can build straight damage and some defence and don't need to worry about scaling for the late game.
Personally, I think they both should get little nerfs to their base AD and little nerfs to their Q ratios. They can afford to lose some damage for how well-rounded they are.

Kai'Sa yes.
Vayne No.
Vayne's base stats are already some of the lowest of all ADC's and she's not out of line at all.
Vayne can be exploited early, Kai'Sa is a lot more difficult to exploit.
Kai'Sa is also a competitive outlier.

Yeah..I didn't say anything about Vayne being strong; mearley pointing out that Kai'sa has similar effects to Vayne's ult on a basic ability, which reinforces my point that Kai'sa has a stacked kit..

Vayne is fine as she is, she's not in need of any nerfs.
Kai'Sa on the other hand...

Lol Kai'sa and Lucian. I'll edit my post to make that clearer.
nerf kayle and everyone else who uses rageblade instead of only kai'sa
that will fix her
Probably didn't help Lucian received buffs when he was already in an okay spot, then there's Kai'sa who has everything an adc could only dream to have in their kit: movement speed steroid, attack speed steroid, stealth, long ranged dash, shield, burst, sustained dps, long ranged burst, good wave clear and missing HP damage. I don't see anywhere in her kit that would give her a meaningful weakness to expose or capitalize, as she's able to cover all of them with ease and is rewarded for building AD, AP and/or Attack Speed that having a 525 attack range doesn't really weaken in the slightest.
Her kit is insanely overloaded, and Riot always comments about how hard a champion is to balance because of this (pre-rework Irelia, Ekko, etc), and yet they continue to ship out overloaded champions. I don't fucking understand them anymore. I'm terrified of what the next champion is going to be like.
Riot is simple to understand. Create OP champs, rework into OP champs, and get massive cash for skin sales and champ promos. Then let the balance team in deep shit because they have to deal with OP champs without changing their identity.
Don't forget Vayne
