Press the Attack isn't as good as we think it is.

At first glance it seems like a better version of Fervor of battle, stacking infinitely, but then I saw that the stacks only last for 4 seconds, compared to fervor, which lasted for 8 seconds. This is gonna make it useless on ranged, but may not be too bad for melees mid-late game however, cause they will still gain double stacks every hit and if they can get in 2 hits per second, they can at least equal fervor's AD of +64 before they start losing stacks.
It will never be viable on ranged champs ever with stacks lasting for 4 seconds. I mean, sure early game they can stack it slightly faster since it's 1.5 at base, not 1 anymore, but overall they're just limited far too much by the 4 second handicap. Assuming they can attack twice per second late game, they'd gain 32, maybe a bit more for a Kog'maw or Jinx, before losing stacks. Where fervor would have given them 64 AD before. Just a huge nerf to ranged. I don't know why Riot called it 'endlessly stacking', when it's just endlessly worse than fervor lol.
I think the concept is great overall, it just doesn't make sense, they seem to want it to be similar to fervor but take longer to stack and give you more AD in the long run in return. If that's the case, shouldn't stacks last for 12 seconds then, allowing for 96 AD for range, and 192 for melee (Would probably have to stop melee's double stacking after 9-12 stacks so they'll end up at a more reasonable 120-140 range) before they begin losing stacks.
TLDR; If you want to make it melee only then fine Riot, but don't fool unsuspecting ADC's by pretending they could actually use it, when this is about as viable on a marksmen as Grasp of the Undying.
