[crazy idea] What if OLAF and TRYNDAMERE switched ultimates?

Just entertain that idea for a minute.

We give the berzerker(whose strongest at low hp) can't be killed and we give the melee ADC can't be disabled.

Who do you think benefits more ? How broken or nerfed would it make these two champs? What are some crazy scenarios that could happen ?

I think TRYNDAMERE would be stupidly overpowered if he couldn't be ccd, but he might build a little tanker.

Olaf would be a beast with so much attack speed and healing. Also can't die ultimate really suits the berzerker theme. However I don't think it would be too useful for him ( maybe in 1 v1 or to turn a gank)

Do you think it makes sense thematically to switch ultimates? I think it does as Viking berzerkers can't be killed, and TRYNDAMEREs demonic influence would focus his rage to make him unstoppable

Just a fun idea I had about these ultimates, since I was watching Vikings.

Cheers also lemme know below if any other champs should switch ults and why

tryndamere has no base damage at all in his kit, building him tank would make him do no damage at all, leaving him pretty useless imo

olaf would go from a "dive your backline and be unstoppable" type of champion, to a "kill the frontline and then run into the backline because you can't die" typ of champion

just my thoughts

side note: did the next season come out already? Last season i watched was where ragnar invaded paris again.

Hmm you're right that TRYNDAMERE should still be glass cannon. Actually now that he can't be ccd do you think hell do more or less dmg than currently

Imo, the change would be pretty shitty for both champions. Olaf needs his anti-CC ult to be able to get into the fight without being disrupted because he has no mobility. With immortality, he would be just peeled of by any CC and done. When it comes to Trynda, his current ult is just much better because he can freelly E into the fight and not be afraid about being bursted and anti-CC, while not bad on him, wouldn't be as good as immortality.

Meh I think it would be fine to swap.

Olaf can now towerdive or engage more recklessly, Trynd can now deal garunteed damage (he cant be stunned now).

I think those effects are pretty similar and it would be fun to try an immortal OLAF.

Olaf would just get kited/cc'd and do less damage.

He needs the damage and speed boost and immunity from his ult.

If his ult isn't up he really isn't much of a threat.

Well, lore wise, doesn't Olaf want to die gloriously? So at least in that sense, I wouldn't say it would fit. But seeing Olaf run at me and not being able to kill him would terrify me.

Pretty much- that's why activating his ult removes the passive buffs- he proceeds to not give a fuck and charge his enemy to either kill them or die trying.

Honestly, having a item 3142 item 3069 item 3800 item 3071 item 3742 item 3111 Olaf with summoner 6 (yes this build exists and is funny as hell to play) running at me is scary enough already, not being able to kill him is a terrifying prospect

Olaf focuses the target enemy champion for the next few seconds, amplifying her damage against them and becoming immune to all effects that do not originate from her target for the duration.

Well, for olaf, first it would not fit thematically. The dude ran into the harrowing with MF head first cause he fking wanted to die, he failed.

Gameplay wise, Olaf is hard to kill anyway, he beats out a lot of top laner's just because his DPS is really good. So making him invincible is basically like saying fk you to any melee top laner and the enemy ADC who won't be able to get away from him.

Tryndamere's entire build would crumble and he'd become useless because he'd be much easier to kill due to not having the free "I can't die" thingy on him. Soooooo Olaf i think would be broken af, tryndamere would be the next aatrox or pretty close but it could turn out to be broken too and he'll just build different cause then he couldn't be CCed

He gets attack speed now on his passive and his W active. Used to be AS on his passive and attack damage on his W.

As much as it would probably be functional for both champs, It would ruin their identities

Tryndameres whole identity is WALING on you REPEATEDLY so fucking hard and his ult keeps you from stopping that unless you physically hold him back.

Olaf is the opposite. Olaf is about being a pressing threat that charges through ANYTHING.

Olaf would suck mid-late game, without his ability to ignore cc, his only means of gap close is a modest slow, so any slows/cc would allow anyone to kite him with ease.

Early game Olaf would be the bane of melee tops, as noone would be able to 1v1 him and he wouldn't be half bad at tower dives with so much time to take advantage of his dps while low hp.

Olaf would build item 3074 , Tryndamere would build item 3748 , cats and dogs would live together, it would be anarchy.

Olaf would build deadmans every game for the ms. He'd become a 1v1 god, but would have no way to gap close in teamfights. He'd probably build slightly less tanky.

Trynd would build ie-boots-frozen mallet - randuins-maw-youmuu probably and function as a diver. He'd be better in teamfights but worse at dueling melee champs.

Olaf's kit is absoultely gutted because of his ult. If it was given to trynd he would be ulted imediately since he has a dash and can't be peeled. Olaf would be insanely underpowered since only he has 1 hp, he can just be knocked away, and he has no gap closer
