Why do meele attack/abilities hit you after a Flash?

Well this doesn't really make sense.

Is this intended or simply not broken enough to fix?

It's kinda fair that way. You can flash out of the max range of a spell and still get hit. Why not a mele attack?

because if cho gath feasts on you and you flash out of it would make the cho sad but make the ryze happy who can q you and still hit you regardless it would make playing melee champs quite frustrating my opinion flash out sooner

You already can Flash out of Cho's Feast, that's teh irony. Abilities which have slightly above meele range (Cho feast, Garen ult) stop casting. meanwhile a Lee Sin auto attack goes through.

If the ability is already casting it should be hitting you, regardless of you flashing out of it. If it doesn't hit you still then that would actually be a bug. They made most abilities follow through as long as they were started before the flash went off.

I believe it's simply been around since more archaic days (aka the original dota). There's been no need to get rid of it, and so it's still here.
