Not trying to justify the aggressive tone he's set, but I agree with what he said about "playing to not lose". One of the many reasons top lane is so cancer right now is due to "stonewall" top laners. These are people who essentially aren't playing to win lane but rather playing to keep the enemy from being useful.
It's far from the only reason, but it adds to the issue. It's not as bad as the pre-nerf ranged lane bullies that bullied you in lane and outscaled you though (Viktor, Neeko, Jayce... but Kennen still does it...).
Right now the meta is basically centered around bot lane once again, with honorable mention to mid lane. The top lane role is essentially to flip a coin and see if you win. If you win the coinflip, you stonewall lane cuz there's no reason to take any risks when you can just win off your team while denying the enemy top laner any opportunity to play League of Legends. On the losing coinflip, you try your best to break through the stonewall (extremely hard).
With that in mind, the most frustrating thing is when you lose the coinflip and you're playing against a champion who picked and built specifically to stonewall before the results of the coinflip were even decided. Such that if you lost the coinflip you're just screwed. It's one of the reasons top laners hated tank meta as well.
This isn't to say you're not a bad person for playing a pure stonewall strat. Do what you gotta do to win. I just wish we had more relevancy in top lane so we weren't stonewalling each other based on whether or not our bot lane won.
