Let's nerf Karma!

On the PBE, riot is reducing Karma's shield duration from 6 seconds to 2.5, along with orianna, Lulu and Janna. Never mind that they already slammed all of the enchanter itemization last patch (loss of 5% cdr on forbidden idol was huge) and double-nerfing an entire subset is generally a bad idea, Karma is already in a terrible spot, resting at a 47% win rate (Which is terrible for a champ with relatively simple mechanics). Lulu and janna, sure, they'll survive, but Orianna is already resting a bit below par, and the community has begged for Karma help for ages.

I understand that these changes are about design direction, but if you want to nerf one area of a struggling champ's kit, please, for the love of all that's holy, buff something else too.

Reducing from 4 seconds to 2.5 not 6 to 2.5.

And yes her shield lasted the shortest amount of time before the nerf, and will still be tied with Lulu and Ori after the nerf.

I really hope all of this can lead to Karma receiving more offensive power. Ultimately, she's unlikely to feel great until she gets a VGU, but in the meantime it'd be nice if she received more ways of playing like a mage, and not just a support. The fact that she frequently goes for healing/shielding power, rather than pure AP, I think indicates that she needs a shift in this respect. If nothing else, having her shield explode at the end of its short duration now for a burst of damage could bring her shield bomb back and capitalize on the ability's most recent changes.

maybe they can nerf karma's Q so non-primary targets take reduced damage so she doesn't cheese top lane anymore

Look at her changelog. Patch after patch after patch it's just nerfs to her E. At this point her kit is just Q and W, her E is basically a haste now. Her R empowered Q is practically equal to a Zoe Q. She has no waveclear, she doesn't scale, and even having her ultimate at level 1 isn't enough to make her viable.

I wish they'd just rework her into a mid laner with supportive capabilities like Orianna.
