As I suck at this game

GlockHammer··1 votes·413 views

After having playing this game for years, I'm almost at lvl 30, have been considering going ranked pro but since I am so bad is there any way to just skip promotion matches and jump straight to bronze? That way I don't have to ruin the game for everyone I play with.

It's taken you years to reach level 30?

Yup, I've been playing from like season 1. I've had to take huge breaks coz the game breaks my nerves from time to time, but it's so addictive, it's like crack, so I keep coming back, I wish I could stop, but I can't. To make matters worse I suck so bad, even the games where I win my lane I feel like I still mostly lose, and even if I don't win my lane, it's generally a loss, I just feel like I get stomped all the time. Just had a kalista walk over me, felt like I could do nothing, srsly. So I really wanna get to bronze, I don't want to inflict pain on other people by dragging them down, I think I belong in bronze so I might as well just go there one time and be over with it.

It takes, like 150 hours to get level 30. It's not unfair to assume that could take years to do.

There are 43,800 hours in the 5 years he has claimed to have been playing....

I don't know if there is a way to check how long ones acc has been active but if it's possible I suggest you do, I have been playing since season 1 I kid you not, also, I have stated that I have taken regular long breaks, why does it seem so unplausable to you? And even if there's been 43.800 hours in the last five years, what does that have to do with me playing the game at my own pace?

It's unfathomable to me because when I started playing it took me like a month to get to 30 and I was playing like 4 days a week at most.

Then you must have played quite a few games each session, total time spent says more than total days spent, maybe you won alot of matches too, u get more exp for winning than losing.

I think they made changes so time ago to that, so now it takes even longer. I'm quite sure I have put in far more than 150 hours, I have like 160 ish wins, given every game takes 30minutes (I'm quite sure the majority have taken longer) and given I have won 50%, I would have still put in 160 hours.

Nope there isn't. It is also more common to be placed in low silver when finishing promo than it is bronze.

Even if I lose all promos? Which I don't really have to want to since that would be unfair against those I play with.

If you lost all your placement matched you'd probably be put in bronze but I can't say for 100%. All though odds are you won't lose every single one of them unless you don't try and try to lose. Only way to really find out is to get placed in a division.

Lol wut?

With the new Dynamic Queue for Ranked next season, you'll be able to play what used to be Solo/Duo with up to 4 other players as a premade. I suggest waiting for it to be implemented and just playing with 4 other people that are ok with sucking horribly or losing on purpose to get Bronze.

I don't have any friends in this game so I don't really get it.

I suck so bad, most matches just make me wanna cut myself, I've been playing for years so I won't get good, that is a given, so what is the best way to just get to bronze one shot?

Fastest way would be to throw your games I'd imagine. You really shouldn't though. But if you are as bad as you say you are then I suppose it doesn't matter anyway.

Why would you go ranked anyway? If you think yourself as hopeless then why even try? Ranked is competitive, to see how far you can go, to see how good you really are, if you think you are terrible why even try it? And if you just want to give it a try to see how bad you are then just go and try it already, stop worrying about other people feelings, the vast majority of LoL players suck so stop worrying about it and just have fun.

I don't think your years of playing are anything to go by for determining your actual skill level, if its taking you 5 years to get to level 30 then you simply don't play enough to get good.

Ok. This was pretty constructive. +1

Btw, I want to get that bronze border, having a border, even if wooden, it's cooler than having none, thanks for the responses. I guess I'll just play to end up where I end up and let it be whatever it is.

Do you look up guides and builds before you play?

Stuff like: http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/League_of_Legends_Wiki

Its very handy if you're not familiar with a champion and you want to get a good idea of what items are good on him/her. Their Strategy tab for each champion is very useful.

There's also this for builds: http://www.mobafire.com/

Actually yeah, I do, I frequent LoLWiki quite often. I also frequent Mobafire and SoloMid, I think I'm just too old to become badass.^^ I've even had people claim I'm a smurf since I know stuff a lvl 30< player isn't supposed to know, concepts like jungle pressure, pressue overall, cs, etc etc xD since I've been hanging at forums since like a year or so into playing.

Regardless, I thank you for your posts, I will try to get as good as I can, seeing as it's the holidays, I have alot of time to play now. :>

I don't know how much age plays into this game, I'm 30+ and am doing just fine.

Somehow I think they'll probably just laugh and ignore it. ^^
