@Meddler why can Darius heal off champion clones, refresh his passive, and ult them but Illaoi can't

Right now Illaoi cannot heal with her Q or other tentacles on champion clones except for her E, why?

Darius can so why can't Illaoi?

I'm not aware of a particular gameplay reason, if that's occuring I'd guess someone just forgot to tick the 'works on clones' box when scripting Illaoi's spells. I'll pass on mention to the folks who've worked on Illaoi recently, see if there's anything I'm missing or if this is just an oversight.

Thematically it makes sense as Illaoi is supposed to be directly interacting with the champion's spirit while Darius is being fueled by personal bloodlust and the thrill of battle. Not sure how much you care about that in this case though.

I'm still pretty sure that the mechanic by which Darius is healed is based on his personal experience rather than a leeching of life energy. Darius heals because he hit someone, Illaoi heals because she stole some essence from your soul.

You need to read up on darius' lore. Or even just listen to his in game quotes.

He's calm, cool, and collected for the most part.

The "craziest" he goes is screaming "UNMATCHED POWER" at five stacks. Otherwise, he has plans for the future of Noxus, and wishes to see them carried out through his new political ally Swain. He's not fighting for the thrill of fighting and killing or because he's some psycho.
