Why can't I play as Wolf?

With Kindred just announced and the kit revealed I noticed that I will not be able to play as Wolf? That's kinda sad. Having Lamb be the focal point of the champions kinda defeats the purpose of having a duality champion. Yeah, Wolf can interact with Lamb's abilities, but why can't I go melee and start tearing champions up as Wolf? It's like going from Quinn to Valor, but you can't on Kindred.

Maybe if I can't play as Wolf, give him more interaction. Like, when he marks a champion for death, that champion can't get the benefit of Kindred's ult. It makes sense. If they are marked for DEATH, they shouldn't take the effects of Lamb's Respite.

Also, maybe give have Wolf serve more uses. He could passively seek enemies out or something. I have no idea, but I hate the focus on Lamb.

Thoughts?

Wolf marks your jungle camps.

Wolf is your W

Wolf does the dmg proc on E

Wolf Aura reduce your CD on Q.

A polymorph would have felt very under-satisfying (We already know this with Quinn and we already enough have polymorph champs with elise and such and I don't think a short CD would have helped) so how can you expect to control both of them when it doesn't work with Quinn ? I played a game of him and we do feel the Teamwork all game long. It may feel weird but having the two of them at the same time for the VO helps alot on the satisfaction. Give them a try :)

I think the issue is more that Kindred's kit is 80% Lamb and 20% Wolf. If Lamb was the character you directly controlled and AA'd with while Wolf was behind all the active abilities it would feel much more like a double champ instead of a champ with a pet like Lulu. Seriously this champion follows the pattern of Lulu almost exactly.

why can't you play as Malzahar 's voidlings, Elise spiderlings or Heimerdinger turrets ?

Those aren't literally a part of the character. Those are summons/pets that they can use, Wolf isn't.

Well Valor isn't really a part of Quinn, he just helps her.

But he is apart of nearly every aspect of her kit, plus they swap places. Wolf is literally a half of Kindred. Quinn isn't "Quinn & Valor", it is only Quinn. But Kindred together is "Lamb & Wolf". I just wont like how Wolf is more of a pet than seeming like an actual part of the champion. He just seems like a skill effect that looks pretty.

Wolf just feels like a pet like Pix for Lulu. It's a pretty lame take on a double champ really.

{quoted} Yeah, Wolf can interact with Lamb's ability

Fixed.

The only thing he does is W's active.

E third hit too :o

It is just an auto though. You could replace him with another arrow and nothing about the skill would actually change.

Same thing on the ''Mark Monsters'' passive. The sole reason we know he marks monsters is because of the tooltip. It might as well be Lamb and there wouldnt be any changes.

W's active is the one thing Wolf actually does.

Problem is, Lamb shouldn't be shooting arrows in the first place, that's just so out of place.

Lamb should be sending Wolf to combat, not shooting nonsensical arrows.

You are playing as Wolf. Wolf and Lamb at the same time.
