GP Q Nerf -- horrible with removal of potions.

So, a while ago you guys at Riot nerfed GP's Q, made it cost more mana overall, and made it so that it doesn't refund mana on a kill. That was tolerable before preseason, since we had flask and mana pots to stay in lane for more than two minutes (Enough time to buy Sheen and maybe boots)... but now GP is just about useless pre-Sheen. You only have enough mana to last-hit with Q for about two minutes in lane (And if you have to use oranges to sustain or break out of CC? You're goinna run out of mana before you even hit 300 gold.), and then you run out, and have no way to recover it.

In a 28 minute game, I didn't even have my first ult upgrade. : / I had ~400 Serpents.

I know you don't like GP, and I know you don't want to buff him, but please, this is just ridiculous that I can't even play a champ in lane because his sustain is so horribly bad. Just revert the nerf on his Q's sustain, and he'd be fine.

actually you can build him with a 2% mana pool in masteries every few seconds making him fine...

so gp cant be 1k gold up on his enemys anymore by afk Q farming lane? oh what a shame

This is something that seems like jumping the gun and not waiting until the preseason. If they knew they were removing mana pots, why ruin GP's mana sustain?

Well, I have my own theories on that, but Riot seems to do a lot of knee-jerk nerfs / buffs / changes because the community starts crying. >.>

I just hope they'll at least look at GP (one of my favorite champs) and see if there's anything they can do to make him more playable without causing lots of crying.

Seeing as GP had a 100% pick/ban rate at worlds, that nerf can hardly be called a kneejerk response.

Riot seems to have forgotten why they gave GP that mana refund in the first place. Before they gave it to him, he was near unplayable in lane and was forced into the jungle.

Oh what a pity.

GP is fine. I used to play him with Dorans Blade start, and farmed with a mix of autos and some Q's. I only took flask vs very hard lanes. You will run out of mana fast if you only farm with Q. Use your auto attacks and budget your mana wisely.

Once you get Triforce and a few AD items (BF sword/Pickaxe/Longswords) you can place a barrel and one shot entire creep waves with 1 Parrrley. This should help you catch up in Silver Serpants.

I've seen GP's build Tear, but I think that's bad. You should be rushing your Trinity Force, IE, Ghostblade power spikes as fast as you possibly can. Tear delays his first powerspike by 720 gold.
