Remember when losing bot lane didn't mean you automatically lost the game
me neither lol
me neither lol
I do
Before Season 1 Worlds

You brought up a non ranged meta on the LoL forums
Damn bro, enjoy your ban
meh, right up until mid way through season 2, melee bruisers did ok for themselves
then darius dunked everyone and shyv with atmas became unkillable so Riot nerfed everything that bruisers loved / the brusiers themselves
I haven't enjoyed the game as much since then...
Shyvana with Atmas? What fantasy world did you live in? Her build has basically never changed since release. Sunfire, Randuins and maybe something dumb like Wits End or Frozen Mallet.
Well, probably because losing botlane is statistically a DOUBLE disadvantage for your team, as it adversely effects 40% of your team comps power directly. As opposed to only 20% if losing another lane.

on top of that the 40% of your team failing (and empowering enemy bot) is one of the biggest sources of damage and one of the biggest sources of utility
I'm disappointed your name isn't MrDrProfDeath.
This is an allusion to either a book, movie or TV show. Which one?
And my name originally comes from the Outlaws' character Dr. Death - because I really like his theme in that game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQq_cOrK2Lo&list=PLF179B567F4CA08E6&index=8
Oh, yes, and his death scene, too.
Old Spongebob.
Yeah... I wish that wasn't 100% true but it is. The ranged adc role is so over bearing on the whole game. Honestly no role has even the slightest amount of influence by comparison.
riot needs to learn that a team is balanced like a bridge not a tower
Yeah... I wish that wasn't 100% true but it is. The ranged adc role is so over bearing on the whole game. Honestly no role has even the slightest amount of influence by comparison.
It has nothing to do with an "overbearing ADC role". There are two positions bot lane usually, your ADC and your support. If they start falling behind AND YOU DO NOTHING TO HELP THEM, then you're going to lose just from the numbers. You're basically shafting your team damage and team support. In engages, you won't out damage the enemy. You won't have as many shields and heals. You won't have as much CC. So on and so forth. Your team will be at a disadvantage, and the longer bot lane is left to rot the further behind your team will be. In addition, you''ll also lose dragon control.
If you decided to put your top and support as bot, or mid and support as bot, you'd wind up with a very similar situation.
To be fair, the more influence adcs have, the more influence assassins have.

Jungler still most influential player in the game.
Support is arguably second, although it's unclear.
Top lane is clearly last.
Thats a fucking joke lol. Junglers are not at all the most influential.... maybe if they camp bot and babysit the adc like every thing else in the game than yes. And support as second I agree with because they... you guessed it.... fucking babysit the adc
Thats a fucking joke lol. Junglers are not at all the most influential.... maybe if they camp bot and babysit the adc like every thing else in the game than yes.
The jungler has been the most important player since at least season 3. Season 5 increases jungle skill cap considerably, just widening the advantage a good jungler has over a weaker one.
You're absolutely right that the jungler's most important job is getting the ADC fed. That's why the top laner is the least influential role.
thats my problem... what kind of balance is that... Supp and jung players you are the adcs bitch have fun... top you are guarding turrets like a bitch cause you don't do anything. Thats what you are saying and thats the exact problem
You are literally complaining about efficiency.
Why are ADC's ranged, because that means they die less. Why do we not want them to die? Because they build glass cannon. Why do they do that? To fill in for other members that built to save the WHOLE FUCKING TEAM.
Honestly, your tirade against adc's is pointless, they exist because they need too.

Hhmm, well this is strange: myself as botlane, our midlaner, and our jungler all had very good scores. But would you look at that: we lost! You know why? Because their top lane Darius got fed and completely destroyed all of us every time. But this completely discredits your post of saying that the outcome of the game is determined by how well or badly bot lane does.
This isn't to say that it possibly has a greater impact than other lanes, because, as stated by another commenter:
Well, probably because losing botlane is statistically a DOUBLE disadvantage for your team, as it adversely effects 40% of your team comps power directly. As opposed to only 20% if losing another lane.
But your point that a lost bot lane means a lost game is completely bogus and founded on false ideas that are spread becuase everyone thinks Riot hates the players and only cares about ADCs so that they can big plays in the LCS
Slight edit: Granted our jungler and mid had quite a few deaths as well as kills, my point still stands that a won bot lane does NOT determine the game, that is unless you call a 5/10/10 Ezreal and a 0/8/18 Janna winning against a 15/7/8 Quinn and a 2/13/19 Soraka
It's not just getting the enemy adc fed, the enemy can take dragon with that too, and also the enemy support is going to get fed.
I feel like the UoL vs TSM games displayed the opposite trend. Jungle > Mid > Bot > Top seemed to be more accurate. It's a question of degrees, but if your jungler starts lighting it up and your mid can eat at Bjerger King it doesn't really matter if your bot loses the lane as long as your jungle/mid are roflstomping harder.
It doesn't mean you lost the game. It just means that you have a bigger chance to lose the game because 2 out of 5 of your players are in that lane compared to other lanes only having one player. If your bot lane lost and your mid and top lane won their lanes and your jungler is having more success with his ganks and counter jungling then you have a better chance at winning than the other team that only won bot lane since that's 3/5 won lanes compared to 2/5. If you don't want the game to be a lot about who won bot lane then change up the meta so that 2 people aren't in bot lane. It's not Riots fault.
Dawngate had 2 lanes and a symmetrical map.
Make it happen Rito!
<Insert down-votes here>Yeah! two lanes and a symmetrical map would be great! although it'd be a lot smaller. Maybe we should only put three players on it to balance that out?
ooh! we should have a king of the hill mechanic. give each team buffs for controlling certain point!
... Oh well. we can dream.
IMHO, most of the time: bot winning negates top win top winning negates mid win mid winning negates bot win
This is my theory as a jungler at least. If bot loses I camp mid. If mid loses I camp top. If top loses I camp bot. Usually works out.
I've lost bot lane plenty and by mid game we are deleting their whole team.
The thing is, a lot of bot laners don't know what to properly do after taking bot turret. They think they absolutely have to roam and go mid and whatnot... Usually what happens is bot lane beats us, takes our tower, then disappears for the next 10 minutes.
I get a free farm lane and then take the bot tower, group with my team, and we go on a rampage. I never understood why people will win bot lane and then just leave... Like... you are winning the lane, why end it early and leave? You just gave up your advantage.
I've literally solo 100-0'd the enemy bot lane tower because they just leave the lane and never come back.
What? You don't automatically lose the game if your bot lane losses... This has been seen in both casual, amateur and professional play. The laning phase is merely that, a phase of the game. The game isnt set in stone because one lane doesnt do well in that lane. Not every team that wins has a winning bot lane and many analysts would even disagree with you because it's their belief that the mid lane greatly determines the win or loss of a game. I doubt this post was even serious but in case it was there you go.
I miss Innervating Locket Udyr.
yes especially when the only viable ADCs are the ones that snowball out of control with 0 counterplay (Lucian Corki Jinx to name a few)
0 counterplay (Lucian Corki Jinx to name a few)
People are REALLY starting to use "0 counterplay" even when it's not applicable.

I mean when they are fed, you can't stop an ADC if he's fed. They 1v1 Assassins and cant be tanked.
I think the reason so many people are complaint about so many assassins are mad because they won bot lane and then got bursts as the adc and lost the game.
The other roles are important as well. If the mid laner gets to the adc with a burst combo, there goes a fed player. So plz
If you're playing a late game hyper carry like
or
, early game doesn't matter as much as mid-late.
If you're able to farm and pick up some assists/kills you can come back
This is why I hate playing in bottom lane, particularly as the ADC. If you lose, you've lost the game for your team.
I blame the meta, it's made the game stale and predicable over the past couple years. So few are willing to play unorthodox team compositions.
i used to not really care if bot lane fed until i played a game yesterday where the enemy miss fortune got 35 kills in a 25 minute game. even as a fed leblanc she outbursted me

if your team feeds ANY chamption 35 kills within 25 minutes, you deserve to lose the game.

Hhm.... Did you happen to have this match on another account called Aaronis?
I do.
It was back in beta, when the ADCs went mid.
I do.
It was back in beta, when the ADCs went mid.
It was because duo lanes didn't have bonus exp so whichever champ went mid would make or break your team.
ive come here as a last resort, riot stop fucknig wasting your money on useless updates and skins, fucknig do something productive like ban trolls and feeders, a bad game is 2 4, maybe 2 5, losing lane is 1 2, maybe 1 3 you get the idea, if you need proof i have screenshots of my last team, 9 22, 3 18, 7 19, THIS IS NOT A BAD GAME, this is feeding and you dont take "intentionally feeding" reports seriously enough, and you ruin this game yourselves, you let trolls and feeders roam this game freely. you ban peopple who ocassionally leave or dc from the game by mistake, but dont do shit for feeders. CLASSIC RIOT LOGIC. you dont bleieve me? just think im raging? tell me which email you would like these screenshots sent to
you could always show us them via an attachment.
Losing bot lane winning game is pretty much my MO unless I go on tilt.
I play Kog'maw though :x
When I play support and we're doing bad bot, I'll usually try to roam to mid and make plays elsewhere, since, most likely, nothing's going to be able to happen bot. Although, sometimes the adc doesn't really realize they need to play more passive and still get caught in fights when I'm roaming (or even when I'm there).
My reasoning though, usually the bottom duo will be more likely to roam if I'm roaming, meaning my adc gets more free farm and exp. If I move early enough though, I can usually catch the mid off guard (works better if jungler is nearby as well).
yeah season 1. everything after that. No. I remember this one game though where I helped my 0/3 draven get to 12/3 before the 30 minute mark by just chain ganking as a nunu and diving for double kills for him even if i died.
Bull shits the most times u lose the game, 2 people winning it's much better than one
