Kogmaw is the final Juggernaut. The previous Juggernauts were merely to get us ready for him...

Changes:

Bio-Arcane Barrage (W) has been changed to make Kog'Maw some kind of vomit-spewing machine gun while it is active.
While W is active, Kog'Maw attacks twice as fast, and his Attack Speed cap is doubled to 5 attacks per second.
While W is active, basic attacks deal reduced physical damage, but apply on-hit effects at full effect.
During this time, Kog'Maw attacks so fast that attack-moving efficiently becomes incredibly difficult, so choose a time when you don't need to move much, and go to town.
Living Artillery (R) has been repurposed to be less powerful in the average poke case, but very threatening as an execution tool.
Living Artillery's base damage and ratios have been adjusted, and it no longer deals increased base damage to champions.
Living Artillery now deals double damage to enemies at 25%-50% current Health, and triple damage to enemies below 25% Health
Various other changes/thoughts:
Base Attack Speed stats and Q's passive Attack Speed have been adjusted so he is more dependent upon maxing both his Q and W to really approach his full damage potential.
For those wondering, AP Kog'Maw will play a bit differently than before, but we believe it to be of about equal power to before.

Well.. His W is the most powerful thing in the game. 6% Max HP on hit, double attack speed buff (allowing him to break the attack speed cap, granting him up to 5 attacks per second), and granting him the longest range in the game (the only trade-off is that his auto-attack AD is reduced to 60% during the duration)? He will literally be a sprinkler of doom just from this one ability (30% max HP per second just from the W alone, not counting the 5 on-hits allowed thanks to his attack speed buff). And then you have his ult, which will deal a base (at lvl 3 of the ability) of 160, but up to 480 if the target is less than 25% health every single second. Move over Garen, your "execution" ult has nothing on this long ranged shit.

Face it, Kog is the ultimate Juggernaut. He is slow, has no true mobility, but does INSANE amounts of damage. With a BOTRK and his W's natural damage alone (on an attack speed build), he will be pumping out 30% Max HP and 5 iterations of 8% current HP PER SECOND; and this isn't counting other on-hit damage + your autoattack damage for the 5 attacks in a single second. With a Runaan's hurricane, he will be able to get up to 15 attacks worth of damage per second out.

And he still has the rest of his kit to help him deal more dmg/slow/NOW LONG RANGE EXECUTE the enemy. He outranges all other ADCs, can do more damage than any other champion in the game, and can take down any tank with ease.

The KOG in Kog'maw now stands for King Of Games, because he truly will be the king of the rift if these changes go through.

This is going to break TanKoggy, mark my words.

BotRK into Wit's, follow up with nothing but balls to the walls tank items.

You'll be dealing disgusting damage while being tanky enough to be dive-proof.

In the very next patch after that:

"Activating W now reduces bonus Armor and MR by 70%."

Probably not enough Attack Speed. It was mentioned that his base Attack Speed will be lowered so that he requires the W active to reach its damage potential.

Oh believe me, it has plenty enough attack speed.

Wit's and BotRK put you just below 2.0 with no IAS runes. And like I said before, TanKoggy is already strong.

As crazy as these changes sound. Kog probably won't live long enough in league of mobility unless you got a dedicated protect the Kog team. In organized 5s it'll probably be crazy, solo q. Not so much.

Nah it's a little different because Juggernauts move towards you (slowly) while killing you, whereas Kog Maw is basically going to root himself in place like old Xerath and start shredding the world. They changing him from an acid spewing puppy to the game's ugliest (and only) living artillery platform.

Kog is probably the only ADC hypercarry I like though. He has no mobility, almost no utility at all, his passive is only good if he dies, and he can't go 0-20 but still 1v5 like Vayne simply because he finished BoRK. He can hypercarry games like crazy but he isn't strong at all early game and even during his hypercarry phase he's not that hard to kill. I don't think Kog will be overpowered at all with the changes but I think he needed the buff since the current Kog'maw in solo queue doesn't exist and every time I see him in competitive play It's kind of cringy when you realize Vayne wasn't banned.

Honestly, while this looks ridiculous, just look at the Graves (Rolf, he got Mordekaiser'd) changes, the MF changes, the Cait changes (A CertainlyT production), and Quinn's changes.

Seriously, Graves works on mechanics entirely unique to him, with a massively modified style of AUTO ATTACKING from any other champion. With the new changes, Graves will have a base auto of 75%, with the potential to hit an additional 9 times at 1/3rd damage. Or a grand total of a 3.75 AD modifier. Twice in a row. While critting, which he scales with now. Jump in my face assassin/bruiser? Rolf, get nuked. Bonus points? New item that turns 20% of the damage you take into a bleedout, while also letting you heal off all physical damage dealt, not only AA damage, letting you shove off burst a bit. On top of massively buffed True Grit letting him survive his lower range. And ult gets to also be an escape too, not just burst tool. Just a warning, do not, whatever you do, dive him. He likes that.

Cait? Oh, you stepped on a trap or got hit by my E? Enjoy a 1500 range AA to the face with upwards of a 400% damage modifier if it crits, that also ignores 50% of your bonus armor. Yea... It hurts, don't it?

Graves will be fine, if not overpowered on release.

Said it here first.

I said nothing about power level. If anything my statement would have looked like he was even more powerful than what he will likely end up as. I am more just talking in how he has been completely remade, kit wise his remake is even more massive than Sion's kit was according the the Riot post.

I bet AP Kog will be fun to play now. Nashor's tooth will work wonders with his w. I could see tear -> Nashor's -> Luden's -> Lich Bane. Wreck people with your w then finish them off with the ult when they try to run. Still do decent poke with Luden's + lich bane empowered autos.

Kog'Maw will be now an equivalent of a gatling gun.

I don't think Kog kept his Max hp damage from the W. I think it's just "your attack speed explodes and you get some range", without doing 30% max hp per second.

Sulghunter1 votes

There's a reason why we have assassins. They're for keeping crap like this in check.

Stars Shaper3 votes

You mean "that's why we have Zed" because I can't see any1 else (except Shaco maybe) being able to even getting close to him before being melted.

jmaishere1 votes

you have a misconception, the new doesn't make him have max attack speed automatically, it doubles the cap and doubles the current attack speed, meaning if kog has an AS of 1.5 then activating w changes it to 3 for the duration.

Lafouboy1 votes

I misunderstood nothing. Nowhere did I imply that he gets the 5.0 attack speed automatically. I actually said "up to 5 attacks per second" in the post.

Building attack speed that will get him to 2.5 attack speed normally is not hard, especially because his Q gives him passive attack speed.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't they remove the base damage on his W (I believe it now scales on AD and AP, but no longer has BASE % max hp magic damage)
