Does Yas really need 4 seconds up time on his windwall?

But it's not 4s it's 3.75 :^)

Yeah, personally, I would prefer it to have a shorter cooldown but a MUCH shorter duration and pop after deflecting a certain amount of damage so that you could just blow through it with enough persistent damage but it would always block the first thing completely. Sort of like a directional morg shield only for ranged attacks.

That would make the skill a hell of a lot more skillful to use but also more rewarding while at the same time not completely shutting out a team from doing anything.

I think it's much more thematic too, the badass samurai who can cut bullets in half, rather than cowering behind a literally impenetrable wall.

Currently its like a spell sheild, you dont really have to time it. I think your idea would be much better and make it healthier and like a spellsheild for allies or himself.

lol where do you want to reallocate that power then? remove crit reduction? reduce q cooldown?

you can't possibly expect to reduce his windwall without compensation which would make him even stronger

reduce wind wall duration and reduce its cooldown making it more of a reflex skill then a casual wall

He doesn't need compensation... It's not yasuos fault that no one is good at playing him, but if you meet someone genuinely good at him they'll make you wish that more than his windwall would get nerfed.

no that's not a valid reason for a nerf

The fact that his kit is overloaded as shit is, though.

Just letting him stagnate where he is would be an awful decision, and he definitely cannot receive buffs in his current form. Taking away the fire-and-forget aspect of his W and seeing how that actually affects him would be a good idea. If it makes him too weak, they can look in to what's ACTUALLY important to a Yasuo player and implement it in a way that rewards good timing and decision making. Right now, it's just something he tosses up wherever and it sits there and eats up way too may projectiles. There's no thought put in to it, there's no skill used in the vast majority of casts and the generosity the skill gives on what projectiles gets nullified is nuts.

If you wanna keep 4 second up-time, give it a projectile limit. After X champion-sourced projectiles are eaten, g'bye wall. That'd make him time it better. Or, leave it as is but make the criteria for deleting projectiles much stricter. That'd make him place it better.

He already has two crazy OP passives, no resource management aspect, low cooldowns on literally everything and some of the highest mobility in the game. He doesn't need compensation. He needs his kit to be cut down and focused.

Don't make the wall disappear after X projectiles, it's useless. No one would want to stay there trowing auto attacks just to make them disappear, unless your Full Attack Speed Jinx.

Yes, hone in on one hypothetical suggestion to downvote the whole post.

A+

I didn't downvote you post, your mistaken. FeelsBad

Did I say he needed one? I said you'd wish he would be nerfed. He is anti-fun to play against, but he "can" be played against. He doesn't need one.

Yes. Its his defensive skill, which all assassins get. Theyre mobile high damage super squishy champions. All have some form of defense, often being a zone of safety they setup to play around.

If its too powerful, nerfing how wide it is would likely be a better choice.

I actually think this is a good point. People abuse that E by dashing all through it, ranged champions can't do a thing to him if it's up.

I don't care about the duration.

I'd be much happier if it was one-directional. It's annoying when he can sit within the Windwall and be near immune to projectiles from all directions.

How about an actual wind. A 1-.75 second short range skillshot... kinda like kassadin E if it matched the animation

Riot actually considered such a skill at first, a cone skillshot what destroyed projectiles in the path, but there was some sort of coding clunkiness when they tried to code it to destroy projectiles. Don't remember why or how, but yeah.

That was a while ago, though. A lot of older champions received changes to skills that would have been technically impossible when they were released. If the issue hasn't been revisited in a while, maybe it should.

Ruin Lance2 votes

no, as long as he gets some serious compensation for it. the last thing that yasuo needs right now are nerfs. he's not weak but the only people that can play him well at a high level are the people who main him or play a LOT of him.

Slamurai Jack2 votes

Considering the tools that other melee carries have for self defense, absolutely.

Rico Nasty1 votes

Honestly it should go away after deleting one projectile. The fact that he can dodge endless amounts of projectiles is just ridiculous and broken.

BIue Monk1 votes

Yea, he needs windwalls to stay forever.
