Why the hell do people want Elise and Syndra to be good again

Elise - when she was a top tier jungler, for basically 2 1/2 seasons, she could counter jungle and kill basically any jungler. Her ganks were incredibly powerful and impossible to ward against. Not to mention she did a fuck ton of damage on top of all of that, all of which is point and click from range right into melee as you're still stunned. Buff her too much and she'll just go top lane again, where by the way, she was the most oppressive top laner to ever face in the history of this game for a few patches. Buff her too little and it's irrelevant. She needs several changes.

Syndra: just lol. I never want this champion to ever be good again. What's fun about playing against a hard scaling lane bully that can one shot anything late game.

Because they want them to be balanced, not absurdly powerful like you described.

psss, btw, immobile mage = tons of power. There's a reason Syndra can do that LATE game.

And buffing them isn't going to make them playable, it's just going to make them go back to being oppressive. They need more than just buffs, they need kit changes and significant power shifts. Morello said it best when describing Syndras power: it's fine that she's got burst but it's bullshit how much power she has with her stun/burst and dominate lane phase.

They nerfed her damage and mana costs so she wouldn't be so oppressive in lane, especially early. Then people picked her up in the jungle and she has amazing sustain with spiders/w, clear speed and ganks and still did a shit ton of damage.

Buffing her in anyway now completely negates the nerfs thay specifically took that power away and it needs to not be a thing. Buff her too much and she'll go right back to lane. She just needs to be reworked, when she's good, she's retardedly powerful and incredibly difficult to outplay.
